I would not get too carried away lads as one of the goals was a horrible deflection as the keeper had it covered so it should have been a 2-2 draw. and I would say that if it was the other way around.

If only all deflected goals/ offside goals/ dodgy decisions were wiped off the record...

Maybe we should discount Ozil's goal as he miss hit it whilst we are at it.

Yes Arsenal were poor.

Man utd they can be very poor and still grind out a win somehow (normally because the opposition were crap )

Take away a deflective goal and it would have been 2-2,had Man Utd won the game 4-2 then I would not argue with that but it was not that score.

Hmmm let's see where Arsenal and Man Utd end up this season shall we.

Haha, wish I had read this page before posting. What a tool. What if, what if. If only we could reduce football down to goals disallowed etc - whose to say if Ander didn't score we wouldn't have won by more. Goals/ not scoring affects the psychology of the match, you can't just add/ subtract moments.

In any case a fully deserved win, and remarkable given the team we put out and subs who came on. In a year when Arsenal should be winning the league they don't look like they want it enough.

We will see what happens come the end of the season and see where Arsenal end up and Man Utd end up and see who ends up with the last and

Someone mentioned Walcott. Has there ever been a more overrated player? If he didn't play for Arsenal, he'd be anonymous.

Thats not the point. Clearly Arsenal will be above Utd, but its looks like they are blowing their best chance in more than a decade. City, Utd and Chelsea will all be a lot stronger next year and they could never expect such a situation like this year again - relatively (compared to other seasons) the title is on a plate. It would be a very shallow laugh if you finish anything other than champions.

An Arsenal friend of mine agrees - apparently these were his stats against us:

Walcott stats from the Utd game:

0 shots
0 chances created
6 passes completed
Touched the ball 17 times
Lost the ball on 10 occasions

That was his total contribution in 63 minutes.

He probably is overrated, certainty hyped due to the age he burst onto the scene.

Arsenal just don't have the consistency to win the title, following up good performances with ***** ones...seems like Spurs are now the top team in N London!

...more importantly, seems Leicester are blowing their chance a bit!!

Maybe or maybe not,Strange that 3 of the biggest clubs all started badly at the start and middle of the season,Coincidence I think not,Given those clubs have so much money they could not foresee injuries etc and have replacements ready?

I did say that the pressure will get to Leicester and that is starting to show.

If Spurs win tonight they go top...when was the last time that happened?! It won't be easy as the Hammers are in good form, but if they do I expect Leicester to slide down the table as they seem to have run out of steam...shame, would have been great for them to have won it!

...of course, good results against Watford and the Baggies and we're back in the mix, still 10 games to go. I take it if we continue in this cracking form all's forgiven for LVG and we'll just forget about the past 18 months or so

LVG did ok last year, cleared out the baggage. Just a shame that we have gone backwards thi season. As much as he deserves criticism, his focus on youth and faith in the academy should be commended, shame he couldn't find the right balance.

Man Utd will not be in the top 4 at the end of this season,So what 'in the mix' do you mean?.

You may be right but there are still 30 points to play for. So, if we play like we have the last 3 outings...and that's a big IF...we could still be in the mix for a top 4 finish. Spurs have 2 tough games against West Ham and Arsenal (...if they play like they did against us make that 1 tough game), City have Liverpool tonight and an easy 3 points against Villa on saturday... ...if we beat Watford & Baggies we could be a lot closer than you'd like to think!

...c'mon 'King Louie', we're all behind you

I don't see why they couldn't be, there are four teams for the top 4, I admit they could all enter some form of super winning streak, but the evidence of this season shows that is unlikely and a team picking up, say, 25 out the remaining 30, is likely to get one of the spots. Man City look like they're ready for the summer

Agreed - I think there will be an opportunity to overtake one of them - its more whether we can put a run of form together that will get us enough points? We have had a few false dawns this season!

The Manchester Utd Thread 2015/2016

Martial, Rashford and Memphis upfront. I feel we will win 3/4-0 if we score early or just lose 0-1 if we don't!

Yep. We're very exposed and should probably be losing, but a far better, more exciting performance.

Missed most of the first half trying to find a decent kodi link so only saw the highlights...seems like we're very lucky to still be level! Looks like we've reverted back to mediocrity, top 4 still a distant dream it seems
