Olympus Has Fallen was infinitely better than White House down and i'm so glad this one got the squeal, also it looks like it's got a much bigger budget and looks amazing

Bring. It. On!!!

I saw this mentioned the other day and I ignored it thinking it was a joke. I enjoyed the first one and now I'm looking forward to this one as well.

It might be just me but there's something not right about making terrorist based movies in the current climate.

I know. We didn't have terrorism before 9/11 so the likes of Die Hard are absolutely fine.

Well film makers can't keep destroying LA, Washington, New York so destroy London is currently in fashion and has been for a couple of years.

They definitely were. I read about them in Time magazine.

Apart from the typical jingoistic line about America, it looks fantastic. Hope it's incredibly violent.

I see they've hired the same FX people that did the awful CGI plane effects in the first movie, to do the helicopter crash scenes in this movie.

Thankfully the other "insert London landmark here" destruction FX look decent & who doesn't love watching London being raised to the ground?

The first one was violent and bloody, which was refreshing considering the years of PG action we've had.

Looks like silly fun.

Just need to get babysitter finalised then we'll be going to opening night. The first one is quickly becoming one of my favourite all time films.

I guess City's like London or Paris have more recognisable global landmarks - that are good for "destruction" movies.

First one was mad - but good; a less subtle die hard idea

Re-watched Olympus Has Fallen last night – as mentioned, it’s nice to have a more full-on action movie that doesn’t skimp on the gore in these sanitised times and it’s a decent attempt at a ‘Die-Hard in a …’ type movie.

My main gripe is Gerard Butler…he’s got the physicality, but he’s just such an uncharismatic and thoroughly unappealing individual. He tries to do the occasional smart one liner a la Bruce Willis, but he just seems a nasty piece of work.
