Hopefully the exchange rate has improved by then and it's region free.

Yes, looks to be exactly the same as the BD that's been out here for ages.

I'm worried about Warner : The Goonies collector, apparently, there will be no french ... Splice, it's the same too ... :s

I wouldn't take the audio/sub specs on The Goonies as final. English, Latin Spanish are what they list in the press release, but Warner press releases are often very lacking when it comes to audio/subtitle information.

The current UK release has Latin Spanish on it (along with French) so there's a good chance they will just use the same disc rather than press a new one. If we ever get a look at the back cover I'll update (not always possible with these fancy box-sets though as the back covers usually have no info on them).

Splice on the other hand - the audio/subtitle info on that are direct from the back cover so I'd say you're out of luck on that one. Maybe a licensing issue?

DaveF : yeah, i guess you're right. I knew the UK disc of The Goonies had french, so i was surprised when i see in this news, french wasn't listed ... but i guess they will take the same disc, i hope so ^^

For Splice, yeah too bad for this one.

surely watching it in french would be like watching a french film with a rubbishy english dub?
if i was french, i'd want subtitles alone.
