That's quite a smart set, but i only want the Connery, Dalton and criag ones, not bothered about Moore or Brosnan

It should be uncut in the UK. It was passed by the BBFC uncut.

I thought the UK versions (both Blu-Rays) were cut for some violence, which was present in the Australia version... well, this is the reason I've not bought it yet.

Maybe I've just been getting my wires crossed!

Psycho

From IMDB:

The UK version contains the uncut fight scenes but has edits in the torture scene.

Region 2 British DVD releases vary in the torture scene: in the single-disc release (D6-43508-UK-S), the film is 138.22 mins and is missing Le Chiffre placing the knotted rope on Bond's shoulder and saying to him, "Such a waste", and at least one low-level shot of the rope coming in for impact; in the double-disc collector's edition (D7-43508-LC-S), the film is 138.35 mins and has these brief additions, plus the sound effects here seem enhanced / more violent. The 'Deluxe Edition' double-disc gatefold-packaged Blu-ray release is perhaps surprisingly the former version, omitting Le Chiffre's additional line during the torture scene.

It was precut. The BBFC didnt have to cut it then.

Cut on BBFC advice in 2006: This film was originally seen by the BBFC in an unfinished version, for advice as to the film's suitability at '12A'. The BBFC advised the company that the torture scene placed too much emphasis on both the infliction of pain and the sadism of the villain for the requested '12A' category. When the completed version of the film was submitted for classification, reductions to the torture sequence had been made, including the removal of lingering shots of the rope, close shots of Bond's facial reaction and the substitution of a more distant shot of the beating compared to the original version. This re-edited version of the scene was considered acceptable at '12A', where the Guidelines permit violence provided there is no dwelling on detail or emphasis on injuries.

That's a nice set, and a great price - checking out other Amazon stores around Europe, it looks to be going for around 180 euros, although it seems with the German set you get a ticket to see Skyfall.

On the subject of the new Bond film, out at the end of the year, the irritating thing is that the box set will of course not have room for this additional disc...not the first boxset which has not left space for an upcoming release. I've got a few where I've got "the complete [whatever]" and right next to it, another disc.

You want more of bond getting his nuts whipped

If you check the IMDB you will find most of the bond films were cut so it is difficult to say which are uncut.

Finally

Good price for the number of films so stuck an order just in case it goes up. Now to try and shift my SE DVDs.

This is quite a useful comparison of the different versions, and recomends the Dutch Deluxe edition (also includes Dolby true HD audio) or the Taiwanese Collectors Edition for being uncut, yet retaining all of the extras.

I went to a lot of trouble sourcing the Dutch Casino Royale Deluxe Edition but still haven't watched and its been on my shelf for over a year.

Will be getting this set but keeping my Dutch copy unless there is confirmation the UK set will be fully uncut.

The UK double DVD of Casino Royale is uncut? I didn't know that. Bit annoying that the bluray isn't, especially as I've already bought it twice on blu ray. Hopefully, this set will rectify that

It is annoying that the set will effectively be out of date with 6 months of being released, but to be honest, at that price I can live with it.

I remember when the complete suitcase set was about Ł200 and that was just on DVD.

Until they stop making Bond movies for good there will never be a complete set as, like you say, it would be out of date when the next film is released. The only complete sets they could do would be by actor, not sure why they've never done this but I'm sure there's some marketing reason behind it.

The description of the boxset containing 22 discs can't be right if there's a bonus dsc along with the 22 films. Not only that, but Casino Royale's 2nd disc isn't accounted for. And will Quantum of Solace get any new additional features? And....I've got too many questions to pre-order this just yet.

Besides, getting shot of the region A steelbooks I've got will be a pain in the arse. Hopefully some reasonably priced singles will follow the boxset.

Why not pre-order and cancel if your expectations aren't met. The price may well increase.

Pre ordered - with the amazon price promise, seems rude not to.....

Getting close to Dawn of the Dead for multiple purchases of same title on new format (VHS, LD, DVD)

Id guess the individual releases might come out when Skyfall gets released on BR in spring 2013.

My order went in the minute it hit amazon, I reckon I paid far more for the original DVD releases - this is unmissable at that price.

You're right, I may as well get an order in, though I'm waiting for play's listing (it's up but there's no price) 'cause I've got a nice chunk of playtrade funds I can put towards it.

My current Bond BDs are now up for sale.
