I've seen David Duchovny in Baltimore this year, and I'm next going to see Iron Maiden in June, followed by Hall & Oates and Tears for Fears.

I'm a huge fan so I'm excited to see them for the first time since 2003.

I am disappointed they've removed Hallowed Be Thy Name from the setlist, but I understand why.

First time I'll have seen them since 88 having seen every tour from 80 onwards. 😱

Why have they stopped doing Hallowed..?

They're being sued.

[edit - Link has been updated and the news article has been deleted. Someone connected with the band Beckett is suing due to similarities to the song "Life's Shadow".[/edit]

BLimey. I've just listened to that song and some of the lyrics are almost identical.

Saw Iron Maiden at the O2 on Saturday, they were brilliant, Bruce has the energy of a man 30 years younger. I lost my voice singing along

We saw Kraftwerk last night (Birmingham Symphony Hall) great venue for that sort of show - amazing sound, we had brilliant seats front row - middle of balcony so O/H's first concert where no one between her and stage.

The 3D was good - not 100% convinced what the 4 blokes on stage actually did - they did sing, twiddle the keyboards a bit, but I guess a lot was pre-programmed, still happy to see them.

Off to see Guns n Roses on Friday, and got some tickets to Alter Bridge at the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra for later this year. Seen GnR without Slash and seen Slash with Myles Kennedy - really looking forward to seeing them together.

I'm going to Manchester on Monday. I saw them in 2009 so it'll be interesting to see how the show has changed.

I was due to see Rainbow but the Manchester Arena gig has been cancelled.

Just got tickets for Mastodon in December, so got that plus Metallica in October and Royal Blood supported by At The Drive In (eeek!) in November.

Check the times for Birmingham said 7.45 on stage for 2 hours - ended up starting about 8 for just over 2 hours - it's 3-d glasses time - make sure you get some on the way in and was a 'best of' or bits from most albums - no interval but 2/3 encores

Stone Roses were epic, first time I have seen them and the whole atmosphere was quite unlike any other gig I have been to.

Enjoyed the Guns N Roses gig on Friday.

I went with my daughter and she was really impressed having never been able to see them in their prime, Axel can still hit those notes.

Its obviously not a new thing, but I'm getting more and more dismayed with people filming with phones at gigs. Especially at this sort of gig, blokes in their 40's and 50's holding up phones for the duration.

Maybe its just me but it makes me feel kind of sad, prices of tickets are so expensive these days, so why choose to watch most of the performance on a tiny screen.
