After a very long down spell I am returning to-gig going and kicking off with Paul Weller at the O2 Arena, Liverpool, in December. That's not to say there won't be anything before then! Unfortunately, I will be on my own as no one else I know likes Weller. Oh well!

Alice Cooper/Jim Rose Circus/Zodiac Mindwarp is the next one on my list. Can't really ask for a better bill than that.

Feeder should be good. I saw them in Cardiff a few months ago. They were in cracking form.

Really enjoyed this gig, support (AM) were a bit rubbish but Patrick Monahan (lead singer) was ace, brilliant live performance by him, got 6 girls out of the crowd up on stage to sing with him, went into the crowd and walked around the room while singing Words and also did a spot of crowd surfing near the end of the set.

He also sung Aerosmiths "Dream On" really well - good cover.

Stone Sour & Avenged Sevenfold this Saturday at Hammersmith Apollo. Rather looking forward to it, love both bands!

Thinking about getting Black Label Society tickets for Feb but need to find someone to go with first.

I saw Crystal Castles in Manchester last Friday, got Hot Chip/LCD Soundsystem double plus Arcade Fire to go this year. May squeeze in a couple more as well.

Stone Sour Acoustic Session was amazing!!!

Played 3 songs (1 from each album) and some chit chat. Then meet and greet and a photo.

Also got a free drink at the venue, so thanks Rock Radio.

Missed out on the main gig though as it was Sold Out!

It's not often I don't have a few gigs in the diary, but after Broken Social Scene at Koko last week and Arcade Fire at the O2 next week, I think that's me for 2010. I guess I'd have more booked if only there were more Canadian bands that feature 1 in 4 of the population...

Went and saw Laura Marling last night in Norwich. Not really familiar with much of her stuff and went along mainly out of curiosity really, but have to say she was totally spellbinding live. There were moments when you could hear a pin drop, and gave genuine chills down the spine. Highly recommended
