Gungans are fine, it's just jar jar i have a problem with, if in Episode 1 it was jar jar's mate that was the main gungan character then it would have saved the movie for me.

Jar jar completely ruined ep1 for me

However, the one after that, "Cloak of Darkness", is the first one by Paul Dini, who many will remember as the writer of the best Batman Animated Series episodes. That should be worth waiting for...

"At least 100 episodes" according to Lucas (for syndication purposes, I expect?) Not sure how many in season 1.

Well, it wasn't too bad, but not great either. As long as he doesn't come back we can chack it down as a filler episode. it's just the voice, that voice arrrrrgggghhh

It was just so predictable. Bumbling Jar Jar saves the day. How boring.

Been watching these with my 5 yr old (who's loving them). My major gripe is the personality / intelligence of the Federation Battle Droids. I can live with Jar Jar and the other minor downsides, but the stupidity and humanising of the droids is unforgivable.
This gripe also extends to the prequals too. Most of the cheesiness / naff characterisation / woefull scripting of the most recent 3 Star Wars films can be overlooked as a 'family film' but these droids really are terrible. I just don't understand why they are how they are?

Great ep this week.

I do love the drawing style of the battle fleets in this series.

Ok managed to get Sky Movies for £5 for 3 months, so might want to start watching these with my son now.

Anyone know if Sky do a "catch up" with them so we can watch them from the start?

Is there a story arch, or are they episode of the week sort of thing?

they tend to go in arcs of about 3 episodes, with the odd standalone.

There's always a recap anyway - and being star wars it's not rocket science so it's easy to catch up.

The latest was good - but not quite up to what I'd expect from Dini.

Bit vicious though - it seems that the Sith have a signature move
.

But the Jar Jar episode was fairly rubbish thanks to the stupid Gungan himself...

I've just got Sky Movies on the £5 deal, according to the Sky website they are showing The Clone Wars from the start, beginning on the 24th December through to the 2nd January, should be the first 10 episodes.

Well, episode 10 was once again excellent. It goes to show that they really should have had someone like Grevious in Attack of the Clones - as he was clearly wasted in Sith going by this show. High body count too - those clones really are quite expendable...

Considering it's a kids series, this has been great.

Death of a Jedi too.

The animation and drawing style still amazes me.

Grevious is one of the best star wars baddies and this show is using him very well. Another really good episode and I like how all the episodes dont have to be about Anakin or Osoka.

Do we know Grevious's history? I thought we were going to get a glimpse of what was under his face plate. He is a really intriguing baddie.
