46 games from August.
If you go to their website www.setanta.com then you can find out a whole load more.

I doubt it will be as Setanta have sold the rights to show in public places i.e. pubs and clubs onto Sky to show on their Sky Sports pub channels. Therefore I am imagining that the quality will be exactly the same, especially as the feeds also go to the BBC for MOTD as well.

The only thing in doubt is HD.

Well, as I said on another thread they told me they weren't broadcasting in widescreen as viewers preferred 4:3.

I can also not find any link to anything mentioning premiership games on their website. Can anyone link me up?

I would have thought it was the other way round ??

I certainly can't see why the BBC would use someone else for their feeds ? And if they did, since Sky have the live rights to the Premiership it would Sky feeds they used not Setanta ones.

Given that they currently broadcast their SPL coverage in widescreen, the person who told you that is an idiot.

Unrealnis - no James Richardson unfortunately. Picture and sound very good as far as I'm concerned. They take their feeds from two sources - one is the one where the scoreboard comes up occasioanlly in gold, and the other where the scoreboard remains permantley on the screen in blue. I think it depends which company owns the right to a team's home games.

Agree 100% - said something similar in the other thread. Why wouldn't the broadcast 16:9 and then allow people to control what format they see via their sky box set up.

Well at the moment the BBC use the Sky or Prem Plus feed for games that were live on these channels for MOTD. I assume there is only one set of cameras at each game so the BBC would be using the same feeds too as the matches shown live around the world but not in the UK. I don't know but I'm guessing whoever provides camera facilities etc. at all the Premiership games will still be doing that job next year.
