You may now all commence with the following:

"Harry Potter sucks!"
"Does not!"
"Does so!"
"Does not!"
"Who cares?"
"You obviously, enough to post in this thread!"
"Did not!"
"Did so!"

Ad infinintum. Bonus points if you manage to shoe-horn in a reference to His Dark Materials.

Sounds appropiate if the rumours of another death of a major character or characters in the saga are true.

I'd never say that Harry Potter sucks, I'll just turn the subtle knife

I think this will be a very long book, possibly pushing 1000 pages seeing as she doesn't seem to want to stop writing! Title sounds like there probably will be another major character death, but not really sure.

Yep, death of a major character..

In this book, harry has to follow a golden compass heading to the northern lights where he uses an amber spyglass to magnify the suns rays, melting the ice into a hidden chamber where the only weapon that can kill Voldemort is hidden. A magical knife known as "The subtle knife"

I've just taken a look on Amazon and it's already got 6 reviews (average 4.5 stars) despite the fact the author has hardly put pen to paper.

I dont see why everyone thinks it matters what the books called anymore. Everyone who was going to buy it before the title was announced still will, no matter what it was called.

So given Rowling has stated that two major characters will die, who do people think the two will be [ on past evidence, a "major" character according to Rowling has been someone like Harry's uncle ... can't remember his name !!! ]

My money's on ... Voldermort and either Harry's girlfriend (if he has one now, haven't read beyond the Goblet of Fire) or Ron. Killing off the nemesis and best friend sound likes a classic literary (spelling) theme .... also keeps Harry alive should Rowling need to bring him back at a later date (ie when she needs the money).

But not very sensible from a business/future/money point of view.

Also in how many other books/films has the "good" guy had to die as well in order to get rid of the "bad" guy ?
