Interesting questions mind, but just bloody annoying I didnt see any significant answers!
A season premier isn't meant to give answers. It's meant to be set up for the upcoming season.

I watched the last two episodes of season 2 from my new boxset before settling down to this opening episode and found it a tad disappointing... only a tad mind you! perhaps it was the expectation of expecting great things... still good mind you and I am hooked!

Maybe she resisted drinking the Kool-Aid!

I thought they were lining her up to be Benry's sex slave when Beirdy made her take a shower and put on the nice dress. But then I don't think thats what happened. I think Kate would have been a lot more of an emotional wreck if something like that had happened, plus she's shown she's a fighter so would surely have had a torn dress or something. Plus I don't think the Lost writers would want to go down that path, and also Benry (as they're calling him on the TWOP forums and I like it) did claim at the end of Series 1 that "we're the good guys". I don't think people believing themselves to be "good guys" with clearly a fairly civilised little village shown on the episode front would descend to the level of rape.

However, why they're apparently beating up Chachi, I don't know.

Tell that to the people of Jonestown and other 'utopian' communities! All cults think that they are the good guys!

Loved the episode, the plane breaking up shot was excellent. Like its already been mentioned it opens up more questions than answers but thats what I love about Lost

The first trailer for next week looks quality I can't wait

I found this to be a bit of a snooze, for me the show seems to be coming down to the level of standard drama fare which is alright but it could be so much more.

Wish they would get away from all this tormented emotional jack crap

Loved this episode - and was really strange to see on TV as I walked past the filming of "Otherville" and along the beach right next to "Benry's" breakfast shelter & table back in August.

I assumed at the time it would be related to Lost (as we had been told that that area of Oahu was often used for Lost filming)- but was not sure how. The road was just too far away to see which actors were being filmed - and I now know it was Benry, Ethen etc.

We also saw the fuselage and drug plane being kept at an airfield near by.

Was very strange to see it all!

Well, people were stating that the episode had a good mix of answers and questions and I was wondering what answers there were because I certainly didnt see any

- We found out that the Others were ex-Dharma employees
- We found out that the animals we've seen (bears/shark) were part of the experiments at the Hydra
- We found out that the Others did not have anything to do with the plane crash

That's pretty good for one episode.

Yeah, nice to see that the bears and Shark were not robots, or Walt's imagination as people had speculated.

Did we? I thought they just said things like "that was a long time ago" when someone mentioned Dharma. They could be people who came and took the island over, either after Dharma abandoned their initiative, or by force in an animal rights extremist sort of way.

Also, for those keeping track of the answers...

- We learned 'Henry's real (first) name.
- Kate aint Zeke/Mr.Friendly's type...
- We learned why Jack may have had more motivation than just his father's wellfare when shopping him for being a drunk (back in S1.)
- We learned where the others live and how quickly they work, sending out Ethan and Goodwin so quickly, etc.
- Got an indication of where the season is heading for the first block of episodes, hard times ahead me thinks.

For Firefly fans, I just found out Nathan Fillion will have a guest roll as someone from Kate's past in some future episodes.

It seemed fairly clear cut to me. Jack said "And you people are all left over from the Dharma Initiative?" and Juliette replied, "That was a long time ago." I supposed it could be interpreted as an evasive answer, but it didn't come across that way to me.

So reading an American forum people were saying that a lot of important information was revealed in that Lost Experience internet game thingy (such as the numbers) and that this won't be revealed on the show because of this, is that true? If so that's pretty crappy.

Dunno whether it'll never be revealed on the show, but it was sort of 'explained'...
