It's a 24 minute sit-com padded out to a 47 minute 'humerous drama'. The concept (and lead) deserves better.

Further to the repeats, I've took a screen grab from DigiGuide to help people out.

Is it just coincidence that by Ep 2 there have been two Gervais-linked actresses in it. Ashley Jensen (Maggie from Extras) as a wardrobe manager or something, and Lucy Davis (Dawn from The Office) as the Fashion Channel presenter.

Lucy Davis isn't in it that much, she's only been in two episodes briefly as far as I can remember.

Ashley Jensen isn't in it that much either although the last two episodes (in the US) have featured her quite a lot.

I have no idea why I like this programme so much! But the series is going from strength to strength.

Watched this over the last few weeks and have been really enjoying it, it's not hilarious but it's hardly bad either, just a nice 1hr on a friday which flies by

And how many bloody american programs does Alan Dale have to be in! Does he have a contract with every network which lets him get a part in every show going ?

You don't knock Jim! Everyone wants a piece of him in their series, it's like shops wanting the "By Royal Appointment" crest to imply their stuff is worth buying

Not sure if that's a spoiler or not? My wife immediately said "that's Amanda", it wasn't until she spoke that I realised.

I've watched the first 8 episodes so far and do think it's gets better as it goes on. So, it's not a fantastically funny show, but it's more than watchable.

Shame that some of the characters do seem to lose a lot of their bitchiness as the series progresses though.

How is this doing in the States? Any talk of a second season?

This isn't usually my sort of TV show but i think because of the different subject matter, and the eye candy , it's held my interest.

It is sweet in places and at least tries to deliver a message that i think a lot of this shows demographic will latch on to and identify with. Perhaps from a male viewpoint it's not a particularly lol comedy but it's quirky enough for me to want to see the whole season.

Started at about 16million, now averaging about 13 million. So, assuming it doesn't mess up like Commander in Chief, should get a second season easily.

Congratulations to the show for winning Best Tv Comedy & America Ferrera for winning best comedy actress. The show certainly isn't as funny as most the other nominated shows (The Office, Entourage, Weeds) but as an overall package, it's been a breath of fresh air.

Really enjoyed watching this last night (episode 3). Some real "LOL" moments.

Hopefully, episode 2 was just an unfortunate blip. Reassured to read all the "it gets better" posts.
