Fantastic end to a great series. It's all over now for a while though.

It'll be back, I am sure. Where else would he go? They clearly have a lot of fun making it, and it was class this season.

(Mind you, saying that, ep10 was the weakest of the bunch)

Brilliant season, then again they have all been superb even if season 5 saw a little dip. This season just seemed to have a little more edge, I am in no doubts that 'The Blacks' and the break-up with Cheryl did this and has freshened things up.

Larry scaring the guy from renting the office was possibly the funniest moment this season, and the ending was perfection. I hope whenever season 8 comes around that we see more Leon and Loretta v Susie.

Just realised that theres been no Wanda this season, her and 'The Blacks' could be great.

heh you are insane. great episode, here's what i wrote on another forum :

i thought it was an excellent episode. not too keen on the ending, i mean it was funny, i just hope it was a dream.

i thought this, the breakup/xena ep and the rat-dog/barack obama eps were head and shoulders above the rest.

so three excellent episodes and a few other good ones. pretty satisfying after a slow start, and better than last season. leon is amazing, i'm sure they realise they need to find a way to keep him around.

Great ep, great season. Not sure if I would say best. season. ever. , was it really better than Season 3? Still up there though.

The ending was good, I had hoped for a reconciliation with Cheryl, but this was just as good.

More class Leon too: "Maybe the gerbil got in an elevator, hit 'up' and went up your asshole?"

I read it as a "Last Temptation of Christ" or "25th Hour" style ending, in that it wasn't actually happening, it was just him imagining what life would be like if he ended up with her.

I hadn't considered that the ending might not be real -- I hope it is. Larry doesn't need to be luckless in everything he does (hey, he had a loving wife until this point, right?) and Loretta is good for him (when I saw her laughing at his gerbil speech I crossed my fingers that they'd get together). And the show needs Larry to have people around him at home, I think.

The gargling scene was my favourite thing in this episode. Looked like genuine laughter between Larry and Jeff; presumably it wasn't in the script.

Come on, "The Freak Book" was by far the best episode this season....

I actually found a few Season 6 episodes quite weak, and just to play devil's advocate I loved the season 5 long "arc" of Richard Lewis's kidney donors. And still think that they should have ended it with the fantastic finale from last year.

But then that would have denied us this year's antics, the fabulous Leon, John McEnroe, Steve Coogan in prison, "No Fly Zone" underwear, Lucy Lawless, Larry's itchy anus, the penis cake, the list goes on. Even at its worst CYE is head and shoulders above the rest.

My favourite line from this episode was Leon just saying "Let him out, Larry. Let him out."

That's just it with CYE, even at it's weakest, it still craps on anything Gervais has knocked out, IMO.

Leon has been head and shoulders one of the best Curb characters to date. Too many fave lines to name from him this season, for me, but 'The Rat Dog' episode with Larry offering advice to Leon on his job interview and Leon going on a rant about credit cards and ordering CD's for next-door using it as an example at "topsy-turveying that mofo!"

"I'm the president of hitting that ass!"

best season so far, i found in the past so much was hit and miss, but all 10 were a winner for me, really came together with great supporting roles. I loved Leon......... they HAVE to keep him somehow!

Yeah, I thought that too. It seemed the laughter between Larry and Richard Lewis was genuine too.

well they don't have a script really, he has an idea and they just make it work, that's what makes it so funny

Yeah, but usually they have a rough idea of where it's going to go. The gargling thing appeared to have been thought up on the spur of the moment by Larry though and not discussed beforehand.

Don't they have very detailed scenes, but the dialogue is improv?

correct - the scenes/ideas are all written down, and all understood then they just try an improv(e) them as they go along

I can't see one myself. I even tried E4 and C4 alongside More4.

It might be available on the 4oD site: http://www.channel4.com/4od/index.html
