Recommend me some courtroom dramas

Finally got around to watching to A Few Good Men last night and really enjoyed it. Other than My Cousin Vinny what other courtroom dramas are worth viewing?

The Verdict is well worth a watch. Paul Newman on fine form.

12 Angry Men is also on my 'to watch' list, after being recommended to me.

My favourites:

True Believer - Good plot, intelligent dialogue and, best of all, James Woods on top form as a radical lawyer.

Anatomy of a Murder - Otto Preminger's best film, a minutely detailed study of a court case with James Stewart giving one of his most entertaining performances and a fine supporting turn from George C.Scott. Also has a real judge playing the judge, which is oddly fascinating.

Jagged Edge - Rigged to mess about with audience sympathies and turning on a typical Joe Eszterhas plot twist, this is still a damn good thriller. Jeff Bridges and Glenn Close strike sparks, Peter Coyote is marvellously slimy as the DA and there's a lovely John Barry score.

Witness For The Prosecution - Brilliantly plotted, beautifully acted mystery which has some scorching Billy Wilder/Harry Kurnitz dialogue and lets Charles Laughton off the leash to go wildly over the top.

To kill a mocking bird, old but still a wonderful film.

Rainmaker, for me a decent book-to-screen conversion that holds attention with some nice performances.

Not all set inside the courtroom but I really enjoyed 'Class Action'. Gene Hackman and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio as estranged father and daughter lawyers on opposite sides of a case.

Already got To Kill a Mocking Bird (good but overrated IMHO) and 12 Angry Men (Not really a courtroom drama but still a cracking film).

Just ordered Witness For The Prosecution & Anatomy of a Murder based on IMDB reviews.

Thanks

If you liked A Few Good Men, there's no reason why you shouldn't also enjoy Rules of Engagement, which has the added bonus of having some very tasty 5.1 near the start.

Runaway Jury, Primal Fear and Snow Falling on Cedars are also very good, and I'd second the superb 12 Angry Men.

I really liked High Crimes too, but that one seems to divide audiences.

Although they focus more on the lawyer investigating the case than the court room scenes, Courage Under Fire, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The General's Daughter and The Sweet Hereafter are also excellent. Sleepers is very good too.

Or try Intolerable Cruelty or Legally Blonde for something a bit different

If you can ever get hold of it, the first season of "Murder One" is a very fine courtroom / procedural drama.

I read somewhere that "Witness for the Prosecution" is to be re-made with Michelle Pfeiffer.

2nd this. This is a superb - worth watching just for Marlene Dietrich.

12 Angry is also very good but not strictly a courtoom drama apart from the initial verdict. Still great though.
