Logitech Squeezebox questions

I'm a noob to these.

I understand I can stream music from my computer to these boxes.

But is it possible to stream sound from a website to the box?

You can play internet radio on them. What website are you wanting to stream - I'll see if mine does it.

Indeed it is, you can either enter a URL in the squeezecenter software (the application that runs on the computer you're streaming from) or you can set it up to use an account on mysqueezebox.com and control it from there.

Sorry guys, I can see now that you can enter a url into the box to stream music from. But when you stream music from a laptop, I assume you tell it which folder to use? But, instead of a folder, can you ask it to use a url instead?

I should have worded this better, sorry.

You tell it where your music is (FLAC/MP3 etc), and then it indexes it so you pick it from the my music/ albums etc. This is the default way it plays music. You can also tell it to stream music from a URL for internet radio. The squeezebox connects to the server software running on the laptop (there are also iPhone/ Android apps that allow you to control it all from those).

There are loads of plugins that have been made for Squeezebox, so I'm sure there is a solution. I run the server on my laptop so if there is something in particular you want to see if it works, I can try tomorrow for you.

I run Spotify (With a premium account) through a 3rd party plugin as I have a slightly older Squeezebox.

I haven't even used a lot of these features and I haven't even got a mysqueezebox account.
