How often are they gonna call the Original Australian Language Track "New to the US"? :)

It's not as bad as the R1 SE.

Disappointed with the extras, as they're the same ones from the 2001 R1 SE - including the "New-To-The-US Original Australian Track". Still, if all the reviews give the BD transfer a big thumbs up, I'll be buying it anyway.

We hope this thing's going to be region-free.

You've also gotta love the "English Dub". An English dub on an English language film. Odd they've dropped the Original Mono.

Better that than leaving the extras out.

Why is "New Digitally Remastered Transfer" assigned to disc 2 tho?

I assume, so no one thinks it's a re-hash of the old disc.

The UK distribution of Mad Max is handled by Warner, so it will be VERY unlikely that a Blu-Ray release over here will contain any of the extras that the forthcoming U.S. release has - it'll probably just have the trailers for the three films in the series (if that).

At last - can't wait.
Now I can retire my Aussie full bit rate dts DVD which is the only soundtrack that didn't sound thin and weedy...until now!
Although I have to agree that cover is not good...

That's the impression we seem to create, but the truth is far more mundane... ;)

Cheers, I can finally put to bed that image I had of you both. Like something out of a Johnny Knoxville movie.
