City of Mirrors (The Passge part 3)

Just finished reading the final book and now I've got a really empty feeling inside because it's over. I've read each book as they've been released over the last 5/6 years and this one just finishes the story perfectly.

Truly horrific at times, completely re-inventing the Vampire genre into something so much more. I know that the narrative structure and time skipping made people lose interest but everything was just so wonderfully structured for me.

Not so much about a viral outbreak and the fall of man but more about human spirit and prospering through survival.

I can't praise the trilogy highly enough.

Will be reading this in the autumn. Really enjoyed the first two, but was 2012 when the last part was out so I know I'll have forgotten loads.

The first 250 pages of The Passage is some of the best writing that I have ever read and it will be intriguing to see what Ridley Scott does with it.
