However it's not clear by the name that "searching for a bargain" can be posted in Suppliers and Shopping...
Just my feedback, if your looking to raise more revenue, then maybe making it clearer that a user can "request" a bargain, may help?
regards.

Gotta say I'm quite surprised the rules have been relaxed. I've always bought through the affil links if I've found a bargain here, IMO it's only fair.
Will this now leave the forums open to potential issues if people post targeted vouchers again?
I'll just echo others sentiments to those who don't like the way things here are run - if you don't like it, you don't have to come here!

The bit in the forum description that says "want to know where to get a product..." covers everything like that.
If you don't like it then you can leave. Or we close the bargain forum. We also have a god given right to sell one of your kidneys on the black market for the affiliate coffers. And don't you forget it.

I think I agree with what a previous poster said i.e. if its a low cost item or if cashback is not that great then I try to buy through forum affiliates, however if cashback is high and goes some way to significantly reducing the end price then I will go through a cashback link.
Saying that I don't spend that much anymore as we tend to just rent DVDs/Games now.

We will be monitoring the situation closely, but there are other sites out there doing this and do not appear to have been targeted with legal threats yet that we know of. We will be obliging any requests from retailers to remove vouchers though if asked.

Might want to add a warning about vouchers, that some retailers have been know to REMOVE vouchers which they deem to have been gained without permission. This was another reason I thought T&Cs had to be posted ?

Yes, that is why we had the T&C's requirement. However if the T&C's are not posted/met then its a true YMMV case. May be worth adding to the rules though

We've now added a list of current vouchers to the right hand side of the Bargain Forum You can also submit vouchers for inclusion in this list from the store's page.

How small is your screen? 1280x1024 looks ok and anything above that is perfectly fine.

OK, you source 4 dual quad-core processor servers each with 8GB RAM and then stick them on gigabit backbone connections with an allowance for a couple of terabytes of data each and then let me know how much you think it might cost per month.

Can you at least make a way of hiding it permanently?

I actually agree to a tickbox. Watching a kids dvd whilst browsing forums means most of the topics hit 2 lines. I dont think my 1yro daughter would be too happy if I shrunk IgglePiggle!

I hate the new vouchers list too i'm afraid, at work we are limited to what screen resolution we use and it takes up half the screen.
Plus at home below the list is all wasted space....

Sorry Colin and all, but the vouchers column on my screen looks awful, the threads are squashed over too much...i've tried upping my res on my screen which helps but then everythings too small for my liking and not what I'm use to or familiar with
Agree with the option to tick or untick to show it, or better still run it along the top horizontally, that way it's there all the time but doesn't affect the width of the threads...just my thoughts, but agree, a search field for vouchers is useful like ********** is good and will help improve revenue

Out of interest, what resolutions are the people who say it takes up half the screen using?!
