Okay so The Hulk has issues as a film franchise but how exactly have they managed to reboot Spider-man three times under the auspices of marvel ?

So a 4th trailer, I feel like I've seen the movie.

I've also seen Kick Ass and Hancock, so I double feel like I've already seen this movie.

I've also seen the other Spiderman films, well you get it.

I suppose it looks fun, probably be quite entertaining.

Am still really excited about this movie but I agree, I do feel like I've seen the movie - recent interviews confirm the big set pieces, footage from all of which appear to be in the trailer in such a way as I've got a good idea how it pans out.

I hope they don't do another origin story.

At best it looks like they've took out the radioactive spider bit, to extra bits of him being a dork at school. However I guess we could well get the radioactive spider bit as well, maybe as a flashback.

Just got back from a showing.

Solid 3.5/5 from me. Another enjoyable Marvel film.

No origin story thankfully and plenty of funny moments that had the audience chuckling away. Hell I laughed out loud right at the end

I had low expectations, but they were all surpassed. I loved it, it might even be better than Spider-Man 2. Good-natured fun with the right balance of character development. Tom Holland is just fantastic in the role too.

The trailers suggested this was more of the same thing we've had five times before, but it's actually surprisingly fresh. Hopefully the awful marketing campaign won't stand in the way of this film's genuinely deserved success.

I was a bit worried about Peter Parker being portrayed as a whining/annoying teenager, but his character was really well portrayed with a miriad of emotions. As ourmate
tone said it is surprisingly fresh, and doesn't necessarily go in the direction that you expect. There was one scene that I was totally not expecting, and Tom Holland portrayed it excellently.
Well worth a watch.

It was also nice to have a Spider-Man film where he doesn't have to constantly save his poorly-written on/off girlfriend and have a long cry about it.

All spot-on & matches what I was about to type.

Beautifully integrated into the proper Marvel universe without going overboard with guest-heroes/villians. Also loved Keaton's performance which was perfect for the role. Certainly the best Marvel villain since Loki.

Only minor gripes are the OTT suit enhancements/gadgets for Spidey but it did provide some fresh ways of dealing with bad-guys. Also the action scenes at night were very dark & was a struggle to make out what was going on, especially the end battle. Probably more to do with the poor quality of the "Superscreen" at my local Cineworld which looks really dull & washed-out during dark scenes.

Best scene by far is during the Washington segment. The action choreography is fantastic.

Oh & EVERYONE has to wait until the VERY END to catch the excellent post-credit scene. You won't regret it!

I had huge expectations and it matched them all. It's my favourite comic book film alongside The Dark Knight.

Hearing positive stuff, much prefer personal opinions, so will probably give it a go at the picture house (rather than waiting for it to pop up on NowTV).

What is it like for kids? Kids in my lads class are obsessed with spiderman (as is mine, without any real encouragement or seeing anything to do with him) and are talking of going, I wouldn't even think of it as I think he's too young (he is 5!)

I'm also going to try it with 4DX as my local cineworld has just had it installed, anyone seen it in 4DX to report whether it is a suitable film to try 4DX out on.
