At least it's not just me I don't mind the buttons too much (though admittedly I still get them mixed up from time to time even after having used a Wii U for years).

I've seen a similar adapter to that mentioned but a wireless version. At 1/3 (or less) the price of a Pro controller it's definitely the way I'll likely go (yet to try the joycons in the grip thing so I'll see what that's like first for games without motion controls).

This is the wireless adapter. It's made by Mayflash who do the Dolphin Bar for PC which I use and is very good.

That looks pretty interesting, shame it needs wiring tho.
If I didn't have a Pro controller is be all over that
How did you remap?

I saw that one but didn't pay enough attention and didn't realise it was wireless otherwise I probably would have bought that. Using the joycons in the grip is marginally better but it still doesn't come close to the Xbox controller.

The button re-mapping is done on the Xbox One, the pro controller can store two profiles on the controller so I have one set to XBox and one set to Nintendo.

Brilliant from a business standpoint maybe. Not sure as an end-user I'd describe 28 sheets of cardboard and some elastic bands for Ł70 as brilliant.

But that's Nintendo. The kindly, jolly, friendly, abusive uncle.

You do get a game in too so it's a tenner for the cardboard and elastic bands.

Anyone got any thoughts on getting one of these for my 7 year old girls? They've expressed an interest in getting one for their birthday having seen one at a friends house. However I am not sure what games would be suitable or hold their attention.

I’d say they’d love Mario Kart. Mario Odyssey has a 2 player mode too. Don’t think you can go wrong as most Nintendo games are very family friendly.

They might like Just Dance.

Snipperclips would a fun co-op puzzle game, and the graphics would appeal to kids. Not sure the puzzles are too difficult though (haven't actually played it myself).

I second Snipperclips. Some of the puzzles can get a bit tough but once you've figured out the earlier levels, the harder ones become more about experimentation.

I would also recommend Overcooked. This is a fun little multi-player game that is family friendly. It's a game about working in a restaurant kitchen cooking food orders. You have to prepare and cook the food, present it on a plate in time for the order not to be cancelled and then wash up the plates to prepare more orders. It's a lot more fun than it sounds and you can play collaboratively or versus.

The variety kit looks amazing.

Not so sure about the Robot kit. It's much more of a video game but it also looks very reminiscent of Kinect / motion control games where it'll just be a PITA after a while. Great for the target audience I'm sure.

I'm surprised they got a teenager (?? maybe not quite but close enough) to demo it as that seems a little older than the target audience. Also that kid is gonna get ripped to shreds by his mates for some of those poses

There aren't any switch rewards yet. And silver coins are worth FA anyway.

My Switch has stopped reading my microSD card. Tried a few different cards but all just show as no card being inserted.

Before sending away for repair, is there anything else to try?

Looks like the SDcard was being used for most of my save data and some games. If Nintendo replace the console, can I retrieve my save games from the SD card? How about my purchased games from the eshop...can I just downloaded them again? Lost track but Nintendo have always been crap with locking stuff to specific consoles..

Can’t answer your question but that really sucks. Nintendo really need to sort out cloud saves.

Save data is tied to the console itself and stored on the console, not the SD card. Store purchases are tied to your account.

I just finished thimbleweed park and now need something new to play on my switch. I have sonic (and honestly got a bit bored of it) and Snake Pass is okay but only in small bursts

Want something to get stuck into
