Possibly all in would get you around that. 3 x home games which would be sold out @£25/30 a ticket, food/drink at the game etc

Thoroughly enjoyable performance from us tonight, 3-1 going on 6 or 7. St Mirren were a bit more organised that I thought they would be. Their keeper played very well as did a couple of their outfield players.

I stumbled across a site which is going to be updated every week match statistical analysis for both the SPL and Championship although it will only be going further into detail for Rangers. Very nerdy but quite interesting and worth a browse if you like that sort of thing.

Prize money

As of 2015–16, UEFA awards €2 million to the play-offs winners and €3 million to the eliminated clubs in the play-off round. For reaching the group stage, UEFA awards a base fee of €12 million. A win in the groups is awarded with €1.5 million and a draw is worth €500,000. In addition, UEFA pays teams reaching the first knockout round €5.5 million, each quarter-finalist €6 million, €7 million for each semi-finalist, €10.5 million for the runners-up and €15 million for the winners.[54]

Comfortable win against Patrick on Sunday, VVD strolling the game as usual, we really should be looking to get minimum £15m when we sell him but probably will only get max £10m due to SPFL factor.

Malmo the opponents for Celtic in the final play-off for the CL, a good result at home next week and hopefully we can shut up shop in Sweden and progress to the group stages.

Still hoping we get a new LB and striker before the window closes.

VVD is only really being tested in the european games as there aren't any big games in Scotland that anyone down south would be that interested in watching. I know Sutton was banging on about him being worth the same as Stones, however his fee is greatly inflated because he is English.

Malmo will be an interesting tie as they are part way through their season, had you played them in the last round I think you might have struggled but I think with an extra few games under your belts then you should be up to speed.

Any thoughts on who would be your new left back and striker?

The Scott Allan transfer still dragging on. Hibs don't want to sell however keeping an unhappy player rarely works out for the best and he has rejected a moved down south to the only other club interested in him. Hibs fans think Stubbs and Dempster have played this well but I don't think they are in a position to knock back any decent money. I think we will come in again with an offer of around £400k and that should be enough as he can sign a pre-contract in December.

St Mirren looked better than Hibs were against us. Hibs fans moaning about lack of fitness and injuries picked up in their spanish training camp.

No chance Hibs will sell Allan to Rangers. That ship has long passed. Hibs fans would revolt if it were to happen. Rangers could have had him now if they played it better. Still a rumour he may end up at Celtic but tbh hes not good enough and wouldn't improve the team .

I don't think Celtic would put in a bid for him as folk who are apparently close to him have said that he isn't interested in going anywhere other than us, so Celtic wouldn't put in a bid if they would get knocked back by the player. But you are also right that he wouldn't walk into your first team anyway.

The fee we offered was fairly on par with what you guys offered for GMS last season (and he was an international, who had played more games and at a higher level). Personally I think we should have offered £400k as the 3rd and final bid. I think you are right about the Hibs fans, they won't be happy as and when he goes however it would be better for them to get some money and get replacements who actually want to be at the club in. If he signs a pre-contract then is he really going to be focused on trying to get Hibs above Rangers?

Every few days I change my mind about whether I think he will sign in this window. At the moment, I'm thinking that he will if we up our bid to 400. Hibs have already slipped behind in the league and could be even further behind in a couple of weeks when they come to Ibrox. I did hear a cheeky comment on the radio that Hibs had rejected a bid from Alloa as they didn't want to sell to relegation rivals. While I don't think that will be the case, I think QOTS, Falkirk, St Mirren and us will be a tough task for them. I'm not convinced they will manage 2nd spot, so they could potentially be looking at another season in the championship.

They have knocked back other offers (£375k) if i recall also so they are either going to keep him for the remaining year or hold out for a bigger offer than £400k . I have a feeling Rangers don't really want the offers to be accepted that's why they are low balling Hibs. They are happy to upset their rivals and then pick him up for free. Has to be or they would have used Kings treasure chest to ensure they get him for the coming season. Unless King has no money and was telling lies about his investment.

They were ready to let Allan talk to Rotherham so their verbal offer must have been there or abouts what Hibs were looking for. In years gone by we would have stuck in an offer of around £800k and probably got him (or if Bain was doing negotiating then bid up to £1m!). I'm quite happy to believe King has plenty money however I don't think he should just be chucking money about either as that's what we did under the Murray era and we need to be self sustaining. We've spent money already bringing in Waghorn, Tavernier and Kiernan.

Not sure it's wise to believe a proven liar like King . But you are right Rangers should be looking to be self sustaining. How much money did you bring in on ST sales?

Can't see Hibs selling him to Rangers, I see him signing a pre-contract in January and joining Rangers at the end of this season. Would be madness from Hibs to sell him to Rangers now.

Rumour that Stokes is off to Burnley, talk of incoming players to Celtic seems to have died down, hopefully we'll get a few in before the end of the window. A few players from Holland linked and some players from Norway too.

There are around 32500 for season tickets sold just now. I think we will probably be getting full to sell outs for most games too so that will help the budgets. Funnily enough, if you put out an entertaining football team, then people will turn up to watch them! King has put millions into the club in the past and I can't think why he would come back along again as he won't make money back.

By all accounts, Allan was still Hibs best player at the weekend and it was the rest of them that let the team down. He shouldn't get any moans about downing tools although Stubbs suggesting his teammates have had it on their mind and that was why they played so poor.

I thought Stokes had been freed as I haven't heard of him being mentioned for a while and he must be well behind Ciftci and Griffiths. I seen there was a link with the wee 16 year Norwegian guy at Real Madrid although sounds like he has been told he is staying in their B team and it might be a good thing as by all accounts he sounds like a little turd. There was a second guy who is still playing in Norway mentioned and I'd think this is a market Delia should be tapping into.

Reports Celtic in talks with Hibs for Scott Allan, a fee of around £300k and Dylan McGeough permanently plus another player on loan is the talk.

Wonder if Rangers will come back in with a bigger bid?

Given that Celtic value McGeough at 450k - 500k, the bd would have to top £1m.

The whole saga is comedic

Done and dusted, announcement today apparently, McGeough joins permanently and Liam Henderson on loan for the season, fee being quoted is around £300k.

Didn't think Celtic would be interested although perhaps thinking of a long term replacement for Commons. Hibs have stuck to their guns by saying they won't sell to us as we are their rivals, we'll see how that works out this season. Very disappointed to miss out on Allan but we should have plenty in our team to win this division.

Weird stat of the day -
Rangers had their first penalty today since October 2014 and we have not had a penalty at Ibrox since March 2014.

The way Rangers are playing is night and day compared to the turgid rubbish we've seen since being dumped out of the top division. And the team is very young and has been pulled together on a very small budget. Changes off the field in terms of training methods and even player's diets... If only someone had thought about doing all of this back in League 2.
