If he recovers and Massa continues to unimpress then maybe a mid-session swap?

Massa does not have to win races or even get points to make an impression. His encounters with Hamilton will see to that.

it will certainly be interesting to see how a world champion who has been out of the sport for years does. might make schumi look very bad, indeed.

Lets be honest though, lately he's barely been up to getting in Lew's way unless has a different strategy.

it looks like he's actively trying to price europe out of the calender. i still can't believe that spa isn't considered a priority on the calender. it epitomises formula one and should be given special treatment. as long as their is a british gp then britain will the home of f1, regardless of what bernie says. the teams aren't going to suddenly move half way round the world just because bernie decides vietnam needs a gp.

I like Bernie, he's always stirring **** up Those comments are about the same thing all of his comments are, getting more money. And more specifically Europeans circuits paying less money than their counterparts. There will always be 7-8 European races minimum, the teams and car manufacturers will demand it.

F1 entry list released. To answer mjb1975's question from the other thread, yes Button and Hamilton have swapped numbers.

Raikkonen might do just that. He is 9 years younger than Schumacher was when the latter made his return and I have a hunch that this new Lotus Renault is going to work.

Who is designing it BTW?

I'm not sure about the idea of Raikkonen 'showing up' Schumacher, as you can't compare them. Schumacher's performance was criticised because with his past success, people expected him to at least match Rosberg, but he couldn't come near it in his first year. His performances were such that people wondered whether he should retire again.

Raikkonen will really be expected to beat his teammate regularly, at least after a few races. If he doesn't, I imagine people will start to question him too.

Not sure. Their chief designer defected to Ferrari in the summer. No idea who they replaced him with.

I don't rate Lotus Renault's chances at all to be honest - they've slid down the pecking order this year after what was a very promising start and have clearly been struggling for cash as well.

Heidfeld ended up 3 points behind Petrov after being sacked halfway through the season.

Interesting. Considering that Raikkonen "defected" from Williams after all those near-certain rumours, does he know (or been told) something about the new Lotus Renault that we don't know yet?

Big news in F1: Red Bull and Ferrari have just withdrawn from FOTA (almost certainly over the Resource Restriction Agreement).

There were a lot of allegations floating around that Red Bull were spending more than they should have, be interesting to see the fallout from this. Surely McLaren have to withdraw now, and then that probably means Mercedes have to, and so on...
