Games Workshop board games

In a continued attempt to relive my youth I have been trying to get hold of some of the old GW board games from my early teens

So far I have got

Blood Bowl
Fury of Dracula
Dark Future
Block Mania
along with Space Hulk and all the extras (had that since it first came out)

But still on the trail of some more. It seems some have been remade (such as fury of Dracula) whilst others now fetch high prices (Chainsaw Warrior for example)

Is there a list anywhere of all the games of that time (preferably with pics etc to show them) to aid in my search ?

necromonda is worth a look. Had some awesome models, but i think the fighting is based on levels so you would need to equire the old senery or make up your own.

Yeah, that was a lot more modern, certainly well after they started revising warhammer etc, perhaps around 93-94.

Have you tried mailing their head office, i'm sure they've got some sort of archives they can refer to.

Wikipedia knows all:-

"Fury of dracula" has been re-released by another games company very recently ... you can get it at ... http://www.leisuregames.com/cgi-bin/...%23a7431#a7431 for Ł29.99 ... I hav'nt bought it so can't say how close to the original it is.

Warrior Knights has also been re-released by some one, I know that's changed 'cos on the back of the box it says inspired by Derek Carver's original game.

The Judge Dredd board game was top - my uncle worked on that (he also edited White Dwarf for a time!). I'm pretty sure this was bought up and rereleased by another company.

Talisman (with the expansion sets) is a must too - you can easily lose twelve hours to that with all the side boards.

*sigh* happy times.

Alas, I had no chance in life - geekery is in my veins.

You and me both, I spent may hours playing both Talisman & the Judge Dredd board games (and others) in my youth. Anyone remember Steve Jacksons Car Wars game ?

Talisman was re-released last Autumn, though oddly, with rubbish stand up card counters instead of models for the characters!

I guess Adeptus Titanicus would be worth a look, similar sort of time-frame to Dark Future.

You know what, I've been in a lot of GW shops in my time and never once I have I thought "what a stink". I have had worse odour experiences in Tesco then GW.

Why do people simply label places because they think it's the right thing to say.

Remember it? I still have it (Deluxe Edition) with the Truckstop expansion and some other bits too if memory serves. I also have the Warlock of Firetop Mountain board game which is on that Wikipedia list, neither game has seen daylight in years!

Never been in one that smelled of BO. Not in Gamestation proportions, anyway.

However, they do have the scariest over-enthusiastic employees. I've never seen people happier to be doing their job.

I'd love to do a job and be paid for something I actually enjoyed like that. Probably why I'm quitting my current job with a bunch of Completely Subdued Contortionists.
