Centre channel speaker mount with flat panel TV

Now that I've finally changed from CRT to flat panel, I have a 'problem' in siting my Kef model 90 Ref series centre speaker which used to sit on top of the old CRT.

I don't like the sound from below the screen - in my AV support unit it just sounds 'boxy' and odd. Also shelf mounting on the wall is also out of the question as the TV sits in the ubiquitous corner at an angle.

I know I could use one of those angled mount thingys on the wall and orientate the speaker but I hate the look of such solutions for aesthetic reasons.

So, I would like to mount above the TV as before [but now too narrow] either by using some sort of fabricated mount to attach to the panels' rear mounting holes [it's a pedestal version] or a 'shelf' type affair if again I can sort out some method of fastening to the rear of the panel.

I've found the likes of these on the net as the sort of thing I would be after:

http://www.limitedgoods.com/itemView.php?ProdID=65743 [except above rather than below] and http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/OmniM...oductDetail.do [though much too wide for a narrow plasma]

Anyone have any suggestions or made a DIY solution for this situation?

Thanks

Thanks for that but it seems nobody has the solution I seek.

I guess I shall have to have a DIY go to fabricate a mounting bracket to attach to the VESA mount on the plasma
