Loving this - best thing on at the moment.

Have to say though
must rank as one of the stupidest things anyone's ever done.

In fairness to Catelyn's motives:

And this is some book background, not a spoiler as it concerns scenes already played out, but I know how sensitive people are about the book being mentioned so I'll spoiler it:

Great episode this week I thought, the action was handled perfectly and the intrigues of the court continue to snowball. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was how they basically "gayed up" Renly (and by that I mean turned him into a bit of a wuss, not just made him gay).

Oh, and to those who thought I spoiled too much earlier in the thread when I mentioned "a great scene between Ned and Catelyn which humanises her a little", we basically had that dialogue exchange in this episode, only it was between her and Robert!

Bloody awesome hour of TV entertainment. If this series doesn't win awards I'll be amazed.

Will be printing that family wallchart off though for name reference

Here I was defending the forumites saying they wouldn't give any book spoilers away in the NO book spoilers thread and you destroy that with one post.

Apologies to Blokie.

Laughed out loud after the shaving scene, flashback to countless Kevin Smith podcasts with the soft lip smacking sounds.

Enjoying the series as a whole but it's done little so far to convince me that the characters are anything more than fairly standard literary devices.

I really likes it although I have to say I did miss the ******* this epsiode... poor Jon Snow, all cold in the North....

Loving the dagger in the eye and other such gruesome attacks. Ummmmm I think Lady Starks sister ain't all there and I'm a bit worried that she's now going to have to rescue Dinklage from her sister once he proves his innocence lol

That'll learn her!

Just watched this again with the Other Half and it's still bloody good TV. So tempted to read the book, but enjoying the suspense of waiting for each episode.

Fantastic episode this week. As much as I loved the various physical fight scenes, the verbal sparring between Littlefinger & the Spider over "my spies are better than your spies" was brilliant.

It does still have its faults, the main one being lots of clunky exposition, but you can't really blame them as it needs lots to keep the viewer up to speed.

I think one of my favourite moments was Arya's truly exasperated delivery of, "I'm a girl!!"

I started with the intention of reading it as the series developed, but I ended up just reading it all

As much as I enjoyed the battle scenes in this ep ('You need a woman...'), the best moment for me was the exchange between Robert & his Mrs - was good to see a personal scene rather than a declamatory 'I'm King/Queen' speech.

Why are people reading spoilers and then moaning? Some of these are so minor you would think huge future plot lines are being given away.
