MTV's Spider Man is coming

To Nickelodeon, of all places. Just saw the trailer last night - "coming soon". For anyone who hasn't seen this show, it's superb - amazing CGI animation, a backstory which follows directly from the film and produced by Brian Michael Bendis (Powers, amongst other things)

Excellent, did it give a date and time?

Funny choice of channel though.

That's exactly what I thought, especially given MTV2's slow transformation into it's US cousin (ie. showing comedy rather than music most of the time). Still, beggars can't be choosers and it'll be good to see the episodes in higher quality than the online versions that have been doing the rounds.

No mention of dates/times yet, but I believe they said the new season of shows on Nick starts next month

My trusty tivo is telling me Spiderman on NICK is starting on the 6th of Sept at 9.00 am and at 9.00 pm I'm not sure if the 9.00pm is a repeat or not.

It is - very good. Solid stories, some interesting continuity running through the series and eye-wateringly amazing animation

Surely it would make more sense having it on MTV seeing as they hardly ever show music any more?

Dump as this starts in about 30 minutes!

I'm working so can't see it yet, but the TiVo is all primed to record it for me (tonight, as it's recording the WRC rally this morning! )

I've seen the first few episodes and wasn't too impressed.

Maybe it gets better later, but the first 4 episodes were formulaic and uninspired imho.

Also, did anyone else thing the animation was like that old Phantom 2020 cartoon?

Thought it was pretty good, but the new-look Harry Osborn was a bit rubbish. Does Flash Thompson turn up? Spider-Man isn't Spider-Man without Peter Parker's nemesis.

Good news for Sky+ owners too - there's a working Series Link for this

Is it a new episode or a repeat of yesterdays? And is it only on Saturdays because i'm at work during the week.

Oh, and the animation on the wall-crawling spidey was pretty cool
