.... What laptop? How old is it? What has changed recently? What is the battery level when it turns off? At the time it shuts down, are there any events in the event viewer? What does it say happened when you turn it back on? Any disk errors in the event viewer?

My first thought at a laptop shuttingdown/blue screening tends to be heat, is is getting warmer than it used to or making any odd noises?

But as scoobyood says, we really need more details before we can do more than throw out wild guesses.

BlueScreenView >> get this. Post the report.

Update windows, and look for 'optional updates' (which are often drivers).

Driver Easy >> down, install, run, update drivers.

Thank you for your responses
It's Samsung NP940X3GI (Bought December 2013). It's at maximum battery with the power lead in or out and still shuts down, just titled to look under to find the model number and it went off. I haven't made any changes to it recently

I will try and see if I can. I had been running a full ram diagnostics. I set it to run twice. Its on the 2nd test now but I started it at midday. Should it take this long?

Thanks again for the advice. It's be determined as being the mobo but it cannot be replaced due to the age of the laptop.
