Old one was never "good enough" for HD said RTD. So we get a a nice new revamp for more HD friendly goodness.

Which begs the question - which one did they use for the specials this year

We're trying some new code on Relative Dimensions - you can now log into that site using your DVD Forums login credentials:

Anyone fancy giving it a go and joining in at the community over there?

Please let me know if you have any problems...

It's not great to be honest, but on the bright side it could have been a lot worse, a lot worse.

Quite like the old Hartnell looking TARDIS (yes it looks like the hammer film's TARDIS, but this is only because that was based on the TARDIS used in the TV show).

Not sure about what the 11th Doctor's outfit yet, but maybe it will be a bit like the 9th & 10th's and have the basic set up but change a bit.

Odds are this is not episode 1 they are filming at present as so far only Series 3 started its filming of with episode 1 (Smith & Jones).

Good to see River Song back, maybe this will be the first time she meets the Doctor?

Suddenly RTD & Doctor number 10 seem a bit dated.

EDIT - on reading some set reports, they state that this was marked as "episode 4". Some reports mention 60's looking props suggesting that it is the time period its set in.

Thinking about it, the costume is a little reminiscent of the second Doctor, pictured here with his companion Polly.

"Which begs the question - which one did they use for the specials this year"

That's why the console room and the Tardis exterior were barely seen in this year's Easter episode - they were not designed for High-Def cameras. Since it's hard to believe that they would build a new Tardis console room for just the last three episodes of the Tennant era, presumably a new one will have to be designed for Series 5.

which I stated in my post

Couldn't remember how many scenes the tardis was in during POTD. As for the rest, who knows until later in the year.

Doc 11 has been spotted with a new sleak retro white and gold sonic screwdriver.

Someone on GB has pointed out that in the RTD years it has been mentioned that the sonic is part of the TARDIS and matches the controls, so speculation has started on a new white & gold retro control room.

Damn - wish they'd do away with the SS at least for a while. It's far too overused.

Line of dialogue from SITL. River Song: "Crash of the Byzantium, have we done that yet?"

That Daily Mail link states two more episodes at Xmas. I thought there was going to 4 episodes for this series 4 and so far we just have just had Planet of the Dead.
