Someone hit the nail on the head earlier when they mentioned Spartacus. This episode left me with a similar feeling to when

When is the second season due, I'm guessing a years time give or take a few months. Grr! Yup Spartacus was also great, my mate who's been watching the two side by side on Sky Atlantic (he started on Spartacus at the Beginning of the second season, and now is watching the first for the first time) says Game of Thrones is good, but its no Spartacus!

Game of Thrones star Sean Bean was reportedly stabbed during an altercation in North London at the weekend.

Bean was allegedly attacked near the Hill Bar and Brasserie in Camden on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

The former Sharpe actor did not go to hospital, despite a cut arm and bruises on his face, instead opting to return to the pub for a drink, claims the report.

"Sean is a regular here and we've never had any problems before. He was with a very attractive woman and an incident occurred outside the bar," said a witness at the pub.

"He came in with a cut on his arm and a bruise on his eyebrow. We saw to his injuries with the first aid kit. He seemed okay and wanted to have another drink."

Bean's row allegedly centered on his 22-year-old glamour model friend April Summers, real name Nadia Foster, who was with him at the bar.

Summers, who has appeared in lads' magazines and Italian Playboy, was apparently heckled by a man. Bean, who has been married four times, challenged the passer-by and later in the evening was apparently punched and attacked with broken glass outside the pub.

Police were called to the incident, but neither they, Bean nor Summers have commented on the events.
Kudos to the guy, even a stab wound can stop him having a good night...

I'm enjoying the show although it's not getting me as moist as some of you chaps; the ending of the latest episode was beautifully shot - particularly liked the effectiveness of hearing Ned's last breath.

The Dothraki storyline is painfully dull though - I assume it's leading to something but they're taking their sweet, uninteresting time getting there.

Decent series all in all though - looking forward to seeing how they finish up next week.

The Khalisi has been travelling with the dragon eggs like packs of coke.... she sats on them to keep them warm, she's a mutant and when they hatch they'll eat her from the inside!!!

There's gotta be a dragon at some point... don't there?

Ratings are still good - will be interesting to see what happens next week, what with all the "outrage" of the main character being offed. I love TV keyboard warriors.

Can't believe people are threatening to quit watching over the events of the episode. Shows how shallow some TV watchers really are if they only watch for one actor and not the quality drama/writing the show gives.

People aren't used to seeing the main character killed - especially in such a humiliating and futile fashion. But for me Game of Thrones managed to pull it off. They can't do it too often though and there need to be some "positives" for viewers or the figures will drop off.

Yeah, my friend literally freaked out when it happened and says she refuses to watch any more. She even threw me out of her house for not warning her! She was genuinely ****** off. We'll see if she means it and comes back next week - she has told me many times over the past few weeks how she loves Tyrion, Jon Snow and Danaerys.

The makers of the tv show haven't really got much choice though. If they decide to start deviating from the books to please some viewers who want happy endings then they risk losing viewers who want to see the books followed faithfully.

They'll be obliged to do it how often (or little) it occurs in the books.

As a non-book reader (soon to be changed) I can't say I was shocked or outraged at the ending. The message of the episode was choosing honour vs family, as spelled out by Eamon Targaeryan (sp). Typical that as soon as Eddie chooses to "Play the Game Of Thrones" as Cersei put it, he bought it, as she forewarned him in that same speech.

I also applaud a story that has the balls to off it's main characters.

Great ending. I love it when a main character gets the chop (literary in this case).
I can't believe idiots would stop watching the show because of it.

BTW, do you think the actor who plays Joffrey was behind Sean Bean's stabbing?

Not having read the books I don't know how it progresses. I like it that way but if it continues to be too dark then it may not get the figures HBO hope for.
