The Office (US) S08 - Life After Michael

Just watched this now. A solid, if unspectacular openeing to the new season. Love the new manager though. Not going to spoil it for those who haven't yet seen.

Maybe there is a little life left in this.

Yeah, good but not great opener. Intially disappointed with the manager choice but there was hints that it might work. I love Spader's scenes, understated but strangely amusing.

Best line for me? .... "Chins up!"

Meredith planking under the mens urinals

I hate the soppy ***** between Jim & Pam though, wish they would cut down on that.

"Shove it up ya butt!"

Good start back.

D'OH !
He's not the manager.

Forgot to mention I loved Dwight taking out Meredith with the extinguisher.

Classic opening few minutes I think, and not a bad episode all round. Looking forward to the rest of it.

Probably because she's really pregnant this time, rather than the 'tv pregnant' she was last time.

Decent opener. Loved Dwight the Enforcer. & Kevin's warning signal.

Is Angela really pregnant too or is that just for the story?

Do what I normally do, and don't enter the thread until you've seen the episode

It was all right but only fitfully amusing and far too gushingly sentimental (like many episodes towards the end of last season).

It was better than I thought it was going to be, it didn't seem to miss Michael not being there too much - worth a watch !

Better than the season opening. Andy's face when his plan backfired

Another soppy ending though

Yeah it still remains all over the place. Needs more Spader.

I really enjoyed this episode, but it's a shame Andy character has been changed for a weird Michael imitation.

Pam being emotional wasn't funny in the slightest.

Worst episode I can remember. The opening scene was ok, the rest was a total waste of time.

Might hold off on this now until I hear a bit more positive stuff from this forum. Season 7 was really stretching it, this episode has tipped me over I think.
