Very fluffy indeed!

Really like RCW's hawk moths and cockchafer - that's a beetle I'd love to see, haven't seen any chafers yet.

Cheers, you're probably right, a vignette would work well on that.. Will give it a go when I get a chance, too many photos to process and never enough time!

Shake Head Sad sight

I was just going through some photo’s I took at Bempton cliffs and came across a saddening sight. I noticed a Gannet had a hook in its bill/face.

Ow!

Haven't been to Rainham, going by train it's just a bit too much hassle (for me it is, at least) from here even though it's not far away. I hear it's good though, lots to see.

I had a few things to do around the garden so photographed a couple of residents?
Fledgling Dunnock, one of two.

Love that first Dunnock pic John. Nice bit of rockpooling too clockity.

Here's a couple from my walk to Asda* on Sunday:

young Sedge Warbler (still has a bit of yellow 'gape' at the corner of the bill)
Young Sedgie

male Black-tailed Skimmer
Male Black-tailed Skimmer

*it's a rather rural walk along the edge of a floodmeadow and following a reed-edged brook through farmland. A 'tiny' bit nicer than walking into town through the crowds and petrol fumes.
