Thanks folks - bit of a conflict going on in me with this one.

I thinkit had been deserted... was just siting on my patio. I put it in the tree and it peeped for it's parents who I think were in another tree - anyway ... it floundered away after a bit and I couldn't find it again.

I'm really hoping that as I couldn't find it that it eventually found its wings.

We had a young wren sat in a tree outside our house at the weekend with our cats prowling around. We locked the cats in the house for a few hours and the wren had gone later. Again whether it survived or not we don't know, but it was very very small and cute.

A lot of good photos on this thread. I've only recently taken up this photography malarky myself, still at the stage where I'm frantically clicking with different settings and seeing afterwards what actually worked the best. Visited the zoo in Barcelona there, here are a few snaps I thought were decent......

(I have a Cannon 400d with the standard 18-55mm lens and also the Tamron 55-200 .....I think all these photos were taken with the Tamron lens on)

A couple of the shots promised from the garden:

Blue Tit Returns

One of our resident Blue Tit's, just popping back to feed his mate while she sat on the eggs, now hatched judging by the noise.

Not much to show lately. Just shot a ladybird in the garden as it was about as far as I could stray from the World Cup

Really like that DY. It looks like a wooden toy that's just been painted and varnished.

Couple from today straight from the camera uncropped. Would people suggest any PP on these?

as always every shot in this thread is superb

Here's a pic taken today of our blue tit nest box and the 7 chicks within, on my very old powershot S50 - not in the same league as the rest of them but a nice feel good fluffy pic nevertheless

Lovely shots. Can you not remove the nails for future shots.

few more, taken from further away so not so good, nice to get the pair together but only briefly, just after that was taken they both attacked a squirrel climbing through the Ivy where the nest is.
