I went to see Snow Patrol at Manchester Arena on Wednesday evening, they are always great live. Kodaline were fantastic as one of the support acts as well...

What gigs are you going to? (Pt 2)

Was looking forward to Ryan Adams at The Royal Albert Hall in April - not so sure it will go ahead now... accused of sexting an underage girl.

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.n...n-sex.amp.html

Saw the Amazon on Tuesday as a really small gig, that was good.

Eek.

I'll never be able to listen to Summer of '69 again.

Sorry.

Saw De Staat in Bristol at the Thekler...stunningly amazing gig!
I'd barely heard of them - booked tickets off the back of one track being played on Olly Mann's podcast (Modern Mann). My god they owned the place. They appear to be pretty big in Europe...so seeing them in a tiny venue was quite a privilege.

Death Cab For Cutie were extremely good last week as well.

Art Brut in Bristol tomorrow. This town is very good for live stuff.

Sorry.

Obviously Ryan Adams not Bryan Adams. BTW Summer of ‘69 is about the sexual position not the year - Bryan Adams was born in 1959...

Going to see James, supported by James doing an acoustic set next month. Really can’t wait as they seem to be in the form of their lives and their last few albums have been amazing.

The boy loves Muse so we’re going to see them in Manchester (which seems to be as far north as most bands will come these days) but its another big stadium gig - as much as I love the spectacle of these big shows, I much prefer seeing bands in smaller venues, I do wish there was a way more bands would do 2/3 days running in smaller venues.

Also going to see Noel Gallagher in London in May, I just love his solo stuff and it ties in with being down there for work.

I must have dropped off some mailing lists - didn't see the Nick Cave ones - still a few tickets left at Symphony Hall (great venue) but as I'd have to take the kids at £87 a ticket will think twice.

And missed the offer on the 3 night pass for Billy Bragg, now trying to make my mind up on 'all' or first 3 albums

I grabbed a ticket for Nick Cave in London, don't have anything specific lined up until Sleaford Mods at the end of April.

Last week I saw The Orielles (great) and Massive Attack (also great but another joyless experience of the O2 arena..)

Booked for me and one of kids to see The Ukrainians in Leeds in April - they were first 'proper' concert they went to at the Ukrainian Social Club in Leicester, was like an old Methodist Church hall. Ended up like a "mad" eastern European wedding, support band were Cossack dancing - one of best concerts I've been to.
