Loco 5 Gigs you would NEVER EVER go to?

Here's my Top 5:

1. James Blunt
2. Texas
3. Maroon 5
4. Robbie Williams
5. Celine Dion

(I'm sure I could think of loads more but those are the ones that spring to mind at the mo!)

Let me know your gig hate list! Choose 5 bands/artists only!

1: James Blunt (Violence would happen when he does his Pixies cover)
2: Keane (Actually walked past them playing at Glastonbury and i still get Nam style flash backs.)
3: Mariah Carey (or any lets sign every note when one will do singer.)
4: Sterophonics
5: 50 cent. ( By now Ronald McDonald must have more street cred than this idiot.)

Kanye West - too much chance of being shot
Babyshambles - full of posers and "drugs are cool"fools
James Blunt - Would probably get accosted by Spankyspanky
Westlife - they make me embarrassed to be irish
Slayer - love the band but a friend of mine got stabbed with a dart in the mosh pit

Too many to choose from.

I think I`d go see anything once, I`ve been surprised at many watchable performances when stumbling across a "not my cup of tea" band during festivals.

Barry Manilow is a cheap shot. He's actually really good live - and even if you dont like his music (im not really a fan) there is plenty of people worse than him.

As long as the venue was OK and the tickets were free........I dont reckon there is anything I would not go and see.

Paying for tickets is a different thing all together and is more a case of who I would go and see as there are so many I would'nt.

Top of the list........cos I have already been and would not go again

Motorhead - I know, classic and all that, but it was just too loud and monotonous.

The Thrills - Infact I would probably attempt to punch the drunken idiots if I ever laid eyes on their sorry carcasses.

Snow Patrol - because it was so boring and the wide eyed audience were almost evangelical during their one single. They should have chucked all those lighters on the stage and set fire to the band at least that would have been mildly entertaining.

Mastodon- 'cos the sound was dreadful, I was even driven to e.mail them as the sound was the worst ever, except for Primal Scream at the Town and Country Club in Leeds (I will never go back as it has terrible acoustics - not down to primal scream)

Brian Adams Tribute band - because I dont like Brian Adams anyway and a tribute band is too awful a thing to foist on the human race. Well, except for The Thrills who should be locked in a room with them for eternity.

It's closed now but i suspect it was down to the sound man not working out how to get a decent sound. i say a load of gigs there and the sound varied from near perfect e.g. bowie in 97 to abysmal e.g. sugar in 93

Sugar were probably my favourite band from the early nineties and i must have seen them about 10 times. They never ever had a good live sound but the intensity of Mr Mould usually made up for this.

I agree, been to the Reading festival for the last 5 years and have seen some cracking bands. Some that I'd never heard of (The Go! Team) and some that I thought I wouldn't like (Babyshambles, Jurassic 5).

Though I did see Daphne and Celeste a few years ago
