Leeds United Thread

Another good result tonight although the score seemed a bit harsh on Rovers,
but sounded like a great atmosphere at the ground.
Beckford and Kandol seem on fire at the moment.

Yeah, great result if not the performance. 6 out of 6 is just the start we needed. I can see us doing the full season unbeaten and going up as champions. If we do it will make the 15 point deduction look like a pointless excersise.
Perhaps a 20 or 25 point deduction next time for the next club that upsets the F A

Chef.

Here's hoping that Kandol and Beckford keep fit this season.

It's amazing what a bit of confidence will do. Last season Kandol couldn't hit a barn door but suddenly he is scoring for fun. As for Beckford, if Scunthorpe had upped their Ł200k bid in the summer Bates would have probably sold him...... thank goodness they didn't.

We're not all like that! Anyway, after the summer we've had surely you can forgive superleeds123 a bit of exuberance after our start to the season?

I'd wager that the majority of Leeds fans will be keeping feet firmly on the ground, despite the great start. I'm simply hoping that the fact that all the other teams in this division seem capable of beating each other might work in our favour as we try to work our way up the table.

Another great result and some cracking goals to boot (espeically Beckfords second!). Lets not get too carried away yet - 6 games is hardly a season long run. At least were out of the drop zone for a bit. Well done to DW & Gus on their efforts thus far having a 6-day pre-season as preparation!

Onwards and upwards

Fair play last night. Leeds were clinical with their finishing. The scoreline flattered you and was a little harsh on us, but hey thats life.

I think rovers had the better of the game but your game plan works and you deserved the 3 points. I lost count of the number of corners we had and didn't get anything productive out of.

can you do me a favour and beat the jacks tomoz please?

Apparently Leeds is classed as our rivals the same as Swansea but I'd rather you beat the team down the M4 that are the Man Utd of League One

I guess people are just getting bored with winning EVERY week?

Is there a record for the number of consecutive wins at the start of a season?

If there is it's pretty certain we'll fall a match short of beating it!

....And we did thanks to a very dodgy ref.

Still took Gillingham 40 minutes against 9 men to score though.

Frazer Richardson, Matt Heath and Rui Marques. Have they all been playing in defense for you of late? Notched you only conceded one during September.

Sorry for the question. Just writing an article on Leeds for the upcoming Darlington JPT game.

Another good win tonight. A bit too deep into injury time for my liking but they all count

How many late goals is that already this season?
Maybe the rumours of non-stop fitness training pre-season due to not having a 'squad' was quite true?

I know that in points terms we're much nearer the bottom than the top, but even so - who'd have believed we'd be mid-table this early in the season after the 15pt deduction

It is a hugely impressive performance given the circumstances

This is certainly the most enjoyable season for a Leeds fan in many years and long may it continue.

I bet there aren't many leaving Elland Road early to beat the traffic this season!

What about Swansea too!

Wonder if any of those SMUG Terriers who basked in the glory of their 15 point pre kickoff advantage will be along to post on our thread anytime soon? Not only has the advantage been wiped out, it's now a a point deficit !!!!

Big game this weekend which will be a good indicator of whether we really can keep up this relentless charge to the top!

I've been trying not to get too carried away after the last 5-6 years of misery but it's getting harder by the week.

Leyton Orient are leaking goals by the hatful at the moment (5-0 at home to Swansea!!!) and we haven't conceded since about 1994, so signs are good. Wouldn't it be nice to score in the first 89 minutes of a game though

Yesterdays referee was something else!

Think the penalty was a bit iffy to say the least and I don't know how Kandol managed to kid himself that he could actually take a penalty. My heart sunk when I saw it was him to take it and my prediction that he'd miss didn't quite do his effort justice!

Still unbeaten though if VERY lucky to get a point in the end after the ref and linesman ruled out a perfectly good goal for the O's.

Hopefully we'll get back to winning ways at Brighton next weekend.

Will it go down as a defeat for you in your 'Real League Table' in your programme? Due to the extremly dodgy goal that was ruled out.

Going by the pictures of the goal that never was and the apparently harsh sending off, it seems that the ref was trying everything possible to make it up to Dennis Wise after the bust up they had at Southend last season.
