I'm glad that some things are being renewed, but they aren't going to be filming any time soon. Wonder if there will be a dead period where new seasons just dry up.

It's making the wait for The Orville S3 even worse.

Going by the last episode of The Blacklist, it’s already happened

They'll all start shooting on virtual sets using the tech from The Mandalorian, one actor at a time, & then comp them all together. It's the future!

It appears that Netflix’s Luca and Bertie that was cancelled has been revived by Adult Swim, coming 2021.

Aren’t the US networks giving up on the ongoing dramas for at least the autumn, so probably aiming to start broadcasts in January. As they tend to film close to real time they would need to start filming around November.

Not sure what this means for those shows they have down for mid season. At least next year the delay will mean there should be less of the ridiculous gaps the US networks have for pre-emptions. Some though will remain such as CBS losing a month for the March Madness College Basketball provided that’s played on time.

Reading Fox’s autumn schedule it’s filled with reality already in the can and they have bought in new drama. One was a drama from an obscure US streaming service, so few will have seen and they got 2 seasons worth but short seasons.

Yeah, what was that? Very very odd. I see what they were going for & get they wanted to complete it & put it out there, but given the plodding nature of this season, I can't imagine anyone was chomping a the bit to see this episode.

Still, at least they FINALLY revealed WTF Keen's mother wants after what seems like years. & even that was a bit of a 'Is that it?' moment.

Like The Walking Dead they really should have waited to finish it properly.

Not much of a tribute to the late great Brian Dennehy either.

I must have dozed off as I missed that bit - what did her mother want?

Apparently she has a price on her head for stealing 'The Sikorsky Archive', which she didn't steal. & Red knows she didn't steal it, because he probably did or knows who did. She wants to clear her name.

Or something like that. It made little sense to me given everything she's done since she first turned up, but hopefully they're close to ending this tedious storyline.

Well some things have been filmed, QI is coming early to fill the gaps starting Thursday. At least 10 episodes filmed but at least one of them is going to be a quiet one.

^^^ Excellent!

It'd be nice if they'd show the XL versions soon after this time, rather than waiting 3 months & then spreading them out over the following year...

Agreed but at least the separation gives you a chance to forget the bits you have seen.

Blackmail material I think. Or a really interesting book about helicopters.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist renewed for a second season.

& some more cancellations:

The Baker and the Beauty
Carol's Second Act
Almost Family
Outmatched
Reef Break
BH90210
Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector
The InBetween
Perfect Harmony
Sunnyside
The Rook
The Magicians

No real surprises there. Perfect Harmony took a while to find its feet, but I enjoyed it. Still, if it frees up Bradley Whitford for something better, so be it.

The end of Outmatched makes it Maggie Lawson's third prematurely cancelled sitcom in a row. Perhaps she needs a new agent?

Agree.
I enjoyed The Rook, but it was prime cancellation fodder.

It was OK, but as a fan of the books, I'd like one of the streaming services to get hold of the rights & do it with a better cast &, more importantly, stick closer to the source material.
