It

Big fan of the book and the trailer looks decent.

It is set in different time periods to the book, but if its done well it should work.

Really liking the look of this so far.. - The dialogue between the kids is really encouraging that this may be more than cheap thrills.

Recently listened to all 44hrs of the audiobook - I'd forgotten how much racist language and pre-pubescent sex there was! I presume these won't be in the new film...

I have also recently listened to the audio book, as I tend to do with books that I have enjoyed. Steven Weber's narration is just superb his Pennywise is chilling.

While I doubt any Movie will really do the book justice, I really hope they get the feel right and the trailers do look hopeful.
There are a few Stephen king movie adaptations that have been really good with Stand By me being one of them. The Kids were excellent in that film and also something stranger things did really well.

I'm hopefully getting the same vibe from that latest trailer.

His short stories or novella have often been made into good films (e.g. Shawshank Redemption). It's harder to fit a full novel into a 2 hour film and then can often feel lacking, compared to the books. IT is a difficult one, as a lot of the "horror" is down to the imagination of the reader.

It is one of his most difficult novels to adapt, on top of some really ******* bizarre moments (a gangbang that simply could never be filmed) the biggest obstacle is that it features page after page after page of internal monologue, the characters are constantly thinking, thinking, thinking and that's what drives most of the narrative.

I'm still getting mostly good vibes here. I certainly hope it's good, but it's getting harder to gauge things from trailers these days.

It does look good but I wish I hadn't watched that trailer as it spoils quite a few jump scares.

My hype for this is through the roof now. Huge fan of the book and it's looking like a stellar adaptation. It and The Dark Tower are my two favourite King properties and if you had told me years ago that they'd be coming out within a month of each other (and that I would be MORE excited for It...), I'd have lost my mind. Far as The Dark Tower goes, I've basically written it off and will probably not even see it, but that's another story.

Everything Bill Skarsgard is doing with Pennywise just looks like such canny choices - he really feels like something posing uncomfortably as a human and the voice is giving me chills.

Caught the trailer today before Annabelle Creation. Bill's looking good but I do worry about the script seeing as it seems to be mostly Gary Dauberman's work? He wrote both annabelle films and did a generally ****** job on both. Let's hope there's more King than Dauberman in it!

just back from seeing this, thought it was excellent 2+hours flew by and didn't drag at all.

Big fan of the book/tv series, had my doubts but really enjoyed it, a very good properly creepy, jumpy & quite gory update, Skarsgard as Pennywise is great.

Loved it. Massive fan of the book, it was everything I'd hoped it would be. Although I'd been bracing myself for disappointment since they announced they were making it. Needn't have worried

Roll on part 2.

Slight side-note, but the score was great, too.
