What we do in the Shadows

This started last week in the US, anyone watching

The movie was brilliant and the first episode of the series followed suit, location changed from New Zealand in the movie to USA for the series and its got Matt Berry in it

I've watched the first three episodes so far & it's a mixed bag of good/bad jokes. I like the "Office" style of documentary film-making, with the crash-zooms, looks-to-cam & shaky camerawork & good performances all round, especially Matt Berry.

Never seen the film, so need to catch up with that sometime soon...

The film is much much better, so it's hard watching the show AFTER the film.

I disagree, I think this is just as good as the movie and seems to be getting funnier each episode

To be fair, I was 2 in. And, you're right. It's fantastic. Episode 7 is off the chart.

Didn't realise either that ALL 3 leads are British.

No neither did I

Was wetting myself at the end of episode 5 when Laszlo runs down the street with all the cats on his back

Finally watched the movie at the weekend (currently free on Amazon Prime) & it was very good but, now that the tv-show has settled in & found its feet, I find it to be much funnier...

Has there been a better line and delivery on TV lately as:

"You'd better cover that, I'lll ejaculate right through that."

This is just sublime now. And better than the film. And, I have to say, Novak's portrayal of what is essentially a mix of Viago and Vladislav, but with more of the former, absolutely nails it.

I really enjoyed episodes 5 & 6, they were great from start to finish whereas I found the previous two a bit patchy.

Only seen season 2 ep 1 so far, and was great that it held the quality up, loved the slapstick humour of the vampire assassins.

I like that there's a few different tones in the second series - the first one was lol funny, lots of slapstick, some of the others are more subtle. Really enjoyed the whole series.
