some good reviews here

Also Bethesda has announced you can pay monthly for fallout 76 or yearly edit and get useless stuff in return

Fallout 76 now has a subscription, Bethesda has announced.

This premium membership is called Fallout 1st, and it costs £11.99 per month, or you can get a 12-month subscription for £100.

Todd must be smoking ALL the crack at Bethesda HQ

yep

its all the best bits of fallout new vegas and non of the horrible broken fallout game engine. Not sure if the IP goes to MS now they own the developers but if they do they have a great exclusive on their hands

thats good to hear

One of the companions ingame reminds of Kaylee from firefly (her attitude to fixing the ship and getting off planet)

The combat and the graphics (and character models) crap all over Bethesda studios inhouse games (also you have to remember this a lower budget game compared to fallout 4 and other gamers) On a plain x1, it can look a bit rougher when its night time but sure it looks better on a X or PC

Played it for about 5 hours last night and it's great so far. Looks and runs great (apart from a bit of micro stutter). Lots of subtle humour in it too. Combat is a bit janky at times.

About six hours in & itís solid entertainment so far. Offers absolutely nothing original but everything feels polished & the writing is fine. The combat is probably the only element that feels lacklustre. Visually looks good on Xbox-X but the lack of HDR is a disappointment.

Certainly light-years ahead of the last two Fallout abortions...

Really enjoying it, it would be nice to have VATS style combat, (you need to put points into guns to do more damage and they handle a bit better)

The game also has Bioshock feel to some of the graphics/look of the cities. The humour is done well, its not in your face and some of the lines you can say are typical Obsidian snark Not all the companions are really good, Parvati is great, SAM the robot is boring so far. Vicar max side quest is worth doing

Also you can do a low IQ playthrough where all the speech options change (which is typical with Obsidian games).

Its a shame about the lower budget feel to the game but its better than not playing the game. Also not many of these type of games about

The storytelling is what Iíve been most impressed with so far. For example the big decision you have to make on the first planet. Once all the factors were known to me, I was convinced of making what I thought was the best decision, but a last minute plea from a companion was so convincing, I totally flipped my instincts & I believe it resulted in the best outcome. Been a long time since Iíve had that experience in a video game.

My only main grumble is the combat has been incredibly easy so far. Iíve rarely had to use the injector & have not required to use any consumables at all. Not required the aid of my companions in combat either.

I should have taken the advice of the dude on the Giant Bomb podcast & played it on Hard...

Iím playing on hard however after about four hours or more Iíve noticed a very common and reoccurring ďfeatureĒ

If a band of enemies come for me, if I juts turn my back and run for shirt distance, if I turn round, not onky have they stopped chasing but seem to have reset back to original patrol positions

Really enjoying this as well. Nice graphics on Xbox X (pity theres no HDR) runs well with no frame rate problems yet. It also not too big a game, as i dont get alot of game time - its what put me off playing Red dead 2 and the witcher 3.

Does it have a lower budget feel? Only played a few hours of it, but itís much more polished and stable than any Bethesda RPG Iíve played.
