At least Picard didn't get shouted at this week. At one point he was almost like he was in the old days.

Some of the worst editing I have ever witnessed this week.

Romulan spy dude is just a drip

Sword guy complete waste of an episode to get him and he's done very little since.

another nutjob

7/9 back for all of 60 seconds

Speculation

He was exactly the same in Penny Dreadful.

Insufferably wet.

I'm sad it's ended, been enjoyable.

Right at the start there was a graphic about Discovery coming soon, no date yet.

Well that was disappointing.

Magic gubbins device that can make anything i.e. replicator on steroids

Wet drip still just that

Aussie sword boy just useless

The space battle that wasn't a battle didn't have you feeling exhilarated - DS9 did spectacular battle scenes.

Awful editing again.

More swearing again

The music was bad no thumping music during the battle

The ships were naff and unoriginal

Saw The Critical Drinker's review of the show and its spot on, the tone of the show, writing quality, the characters, picard being a side character in his own show. How Picard is nothing like the captain of the flagship, he is like some downbeaten social worker that everyone blames for everything.

its more like the adventures of John Luck Picket or that episode (I watched recently where Q shows him what he was like if he didn't get stabbed in heart when ST had good episodes)

Wow, a lot of hate for this here.

Saved up the last 7 episodes & binged them all yesterday. Worked so much better than waiting week by week & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved all the cameos by the old hands & the musical nods to other Treks.

Glad someone enjoyed but I want a good series not a montage of memberberries.

7's cameo added nothing
Riker and Troy's cameo what was the point - Picard could have gone to anywhare in the federation for help but he goes to them. Specifically when he said he wanted to keep them out of danger.
This love/friendship between Data and Picard I don't get If you watch the series the closest people to Picard was Guinan and Crusher. Geordie is Data's best friend.
Where did Picard get the vintage furnature that Raffi objected to him having? All that was burnt in the fire in Generations.
The Romulan Brother and Sister were really badly written

I didn't like it either. It wasn't Trek, it was just a rubbish sci-fi plot with Trek characters badly shoehorned into it.

Those killer flowers were one of the silliest things I've seen for a long time - I'm sure someone was making some kind of joke. The whole thing was just awful with almost no redeeming qualities. They should put the Picard character to bed now before it gets even worse.

A series that started so well and then plummeted to depths i didn't think it could.

I think Discovery is bad but this was woeful, so many glaring writing and editing errors that it just left the viewer wondering if this was Star Trek?

Everyone involved behind the camera should be replaced and pretty much 75% in front of the camera as well. You have to work quite hard to get it this wrong.

I thought it might of been good but just got worse and worse (it was only Pike that made S2 of STD not a complete **** show)

also just leave this here

We'll myself and the wife finally got around to watching it all the other night. Needed to take our minds off the present situation.

We enjoyed it.

Yet at the same time I can't disagree with all the criticisms in this thread. It was downright awful at times.

I guess I really just enjoyed seeing the old characters again.

Just finished this myself.
I liked the fact, it was some more Star Trek at least.
Fat Data I could have done without. (what happened to the ability to do deep fakes?)

Putting all grumbles aside, and I know there are quite a few, the biggest single annoyance I had, at many point was the issue of there is something terrible about to happen RIGHT NOW. Literally not a second to waste, but lets stop and have a chat for a moment whilst this terrible thing is about to happen.

Was it though?

That was my problem with it. It could have been any sci-fi show really, with a few cameos thrown in. At least STD was undoubtedly Trek albeit a very poor one. Picard doesn't even have that crumb of comfort.

I don't get how STD is trek and Picard isn't, as The ORwell pointed out none of them do much traiditional trek stories these days.

I nejoyed STD s1 but couldn't stand s2 and enjoyed Picard. Not planning on watching STD s3 after how bad 2 became, unless they sort themselves out.
