Yep, what a **** title. And they really couldn’t have come up with that in time for when they had the initial announcement?

Lowering expectations by the day.

Nice to see they've gone back to using the Random Title Generator Machine employed for most of the Brosnan era (& every Steven Seagal movie).
Not necessarily. He could be trying to stop a clock manufacturer

God awful title and choice of font and the poster itself looks like all the money went on bringing DC back

I always get excited by the trailer only to be let down by the film.

Looks more Quantum of Solace and Spectre than Casino Royale and Skyfall.

Skyfall and Spectre are awful though. Casino Royale is the only good Bond film he's done.

Plus.... that was basically the entire film. We've seen both bad guys, including the one which I presume is a end of act 1 reveal.... then the bad guy with mask, revealed without the mask. Then we've seen all the money shots on action set pieces.. mini-gun headlights, bridge jump, both bond cars, the other 00 being bad and then 'thought you two would get along'.., the bond girl coming back and the fact that she has a secret...

... why is all that in the trailer??

Unfortunately nowadays it seems that the powers at be want to show as much as possible to try and get bums on seats. It's very rare nowadays that a trailer reveals very little to drum up intrigue.

A good example of this would be the trailers for Knives Out

You want it to be good you really do but my expectations are rock bottom.

They look great but the writing is truly awful. I couldn't actually tell you anything that has happened since Casino Royale. Something about water?

I can't decide whether it's been a good idea to try and have an ongoing story between all of the Daniel Craig's films. They never really did this before.

Well, the cinematography's beautiful, & as ever with Bond it's a very well cut trailer. The motorbike stunt's cool & I'm always up for more of the DB5.

I still have no idea what the plot is though.

It's not. It doesn't really work & combined with Craig's mopey take on the character it's sucked any sense of fun out of the franchise.

at a guess... bad guy tries to take over the world/hurt people/hurt someone close to bond, bond comes to the rescue. I mean it's not really deviated in last 23 odd however many films there are.

They only other connection between movies I knew of was started with On Her Majesty's Secret Service and continued in Diamonds Are Forver then For Your Eyes Only and ended in Licence To kill all of which pay a reference to Bond's wife.

Craig's version is linked via the shadowy organisation to rival MI5 which was first Quantum then it seems that Quantum is a susiduary of Spectre. If they had stuck with one all the way through it might have been better.

Looks better than I feared, but it seems that they've continued the slightly soap opera approach of making each story personally connected to Bond himself, which has been going on since CR.

I miss the days when 007 was just sent on a mission...

Yeh I don't really like this half sort of Quintrilogy or whatever you'd call it, I like you can just see a Bond film on TV and sit and watch it.

Which was a damn good idea because Ana de Armas was the least famous person in the film after Katherine Langford, and putting her front and centre in the trailer would have also tipped people off about the political undertones of the movie and made the discussion of the film pre-release toxic. We've already seen idiots over on Blu-ray.com say they refuse to watch it for its pro-Mexico, anti-Trump stance.

The whole point of Knives Out is that Johnson is

Dude, please put ANY discussion of Knives Out in spoilers. This isn't the thread for it.
