The league's official name is constantly changing. First it was the FA Carling Premiership.

In 2001 it became the Barclaycard Premiership.

In 2004 it became the Barclays Premiership.

And in 2007 it became the Barclays Premier League.

So technically Blackburn have only won it under the old incarnation..

Always amazes me how many lazy journalists and pundits still refer to it as the Premiership.

So my take is that Liverpool have never won the Premiership, then.

Not just them, but any guy you meet in a pub or work with as well.

It winds me up more than it should.

LOL ... https://twitter.com/Watch_LFC/status...452639744?s=09 you tell him Andy. The non-award of the stonewall penalty, yesterday, was probably the craziest decision I have seen in years and IMHO was in some part a result of how badly VAR had been seen to be in midweek.

The refereeing, and especially VAR, has been a complete farce for most teams from the very first game of the restart up until this weekend. And it is not showing any signs that it is going to improve before the season ends. And what is the point of PGMOL coming out with statements about how the VARs have made crucial, games changing mistakes, and yet the people involved still get put in charge of big games just 3 days later.

It's a bloody good job that Mike "if you didn't know I was **** you'd think I was corrup" Riley won't be in charge of it next season. Collina will come in and show Riley how it's done; he has already made subtle hints recently at what he thinks of the Premier League's implementation.

Always criticising.

The people in charge have made decisions in the best interests of the c̶o̶u̶n̶t̶r̶y̶ game. They couldn't possibly have know all the variables.

Maybe you should just get behind them and cheer them on for the sterling job they have done?

There are very few variables involved especially that can justify the mistakes they are making every single week.

But still, let's all commend them on the sterling job they are doing regardless how how much money such 'mistakes' are costing clubs or jobs are potentially being at risk but people who aren't accountable to anyone for anything they do.
