Earning Money With The Digital Fix - the official thread

The Digital Fix currently runs a unique scheme that lets you earn money through your activity on the site. We give every member the chance to receive approximately 10%* of the money they earn for the site through their posts containing affiliate links.

HOW TO EARN

You can earn money through the site by posting affiliate links using the Affiliation Tool on all post forms. Every sale made through your link via valid merchants will earn you a 10% share of the commission we'll receive. Simples.

To claim your earnings we need your paypal address; just go over to our earnings portal and make sure you're logged into the site with your forum login. Then just enter your address in the field provided.

You can also earn money by using our Merchant Directory WHEN YOU ARE LOGGED IN to make your own purchases. By doing this you are earning some cashback AND supporting The Digital Fix in one transaction - win/win!

* Valid stores are all stores we have affiliate links with with some exceptions - currently no Amazon links can earn you commission as they do not provide mechanisms to track back purchases to links. We rely on the reporting systems of many different affiliate providers and earnings can take varying amounts of time to be recorded. Earnings might also be invalidated by browser add-ons such as ad blockers and by issues relating to which affiliate first provided commission. It's by no means an exact science!

HOW DO I SEE HOW MUCH I'VE EARNT

I am currently in the process of identifying the biggest earning affiliate programmes in Skimlinks and reinstating their non-Skimlinks variants. This means we'll get slightly better commissions for those programmes and that should translate to bigger earnings for all of you

The first moved out of Skimlinks is Tesco Direct.

Right now these non-Skimlinks earnings will not register in your earnings reports - this is something that will be reconciled monthly before payments are made.

That page showing top earners etc.. isn't showing them at the moment.

Also how long before I show earnings ?

I'll take a look at the missing entries.

Earnings can take anything up to a month to show (sometimes more - I'm still waiting for any Sky commissions to actually be approved and they're from June). We're reliant on the reporting systems of all of the various affiliate providers we use.

* Just checked your data Dave and you have unapproved commissions - hopefully they'll switch over soon

Latest payments all made - over £70 to TDF members earned since the last payout in August - and that was only to our most active posters.

Get posting - a few posts per day can quickly add up if they're popular deals.

The minimum payment threshold is £3.

Yep, I was quite surprised when I checked the earnings a few weeks ago. It's a great incentive and hopefully means the site in general is in much better shape.

Oh and congrats on the competition win larrymarr
