Pretty intense 2 Part opener. Think I'll stick with it.

Cracking opener. I accept seasons 2 & 3 weren't great but it was still entertaining for me.

Quite disappointed

Quite a pertinent storyline to kick things off as well considering the US are still deploying drone strikes in Pakistan.

Thanks for that - hadn't realised that it was coming to "normal TV".

For anyone else who doesn't know it's starting on Channel 4 on 12th October. After the last series we'd given up on this but the comments in here are encouraging enough to give it one more go.

After hearing it was back on track I had high hopes but this opener didn't convince me at all.

Some decent scenes (especially the mob attacking the car) but no real solid hook that I could see, at least nothing comparable to the way things were set up in Season 1.

Time to bail I think.

Thought it was great. Very tense at times. Didn't realise people had such a downer on it.

Thoughts on the first two episodes...

Second episode was much better. I'll keep watching for now but eventually get annoyed when Carrie somehow manages to solve everything with her intuition!

Carrie is highly annoying, i know she is meant to be highly strung but she is soon annoying.

First 2 episodes have certainly been better than the woeful 3rd series.

I'm quite enjoying the new season - works fine for me as a decent spy thriller. As long as Chris Brodie doesn't turn up...

So episode four has been on this week, and I know the ploy was to show that kid a bit of affection to get him onside and tell his story, but then Carrie ends up

One of the most awkward things I've ever watched. Not sure how it's going to pan out but very strange.

Felt this was dragging on with that weird 'love' subplot, but it was much better this week

I'm glad it's renewed, I'm really enjoying this season even (or maybe because of) the really uncomfortable Carrie scenes (washing the baby, spy-seduction etc). It's kind of reinvented / redeemed itself and Claire Danes isn't afraid to play a really quite unlikeable yet still empathetic character.

Yes, I'm enjoying it too, I felt as spaced out as Carrie in that last episode

and the WTF moment was nice at the end.

Eps 7 and 8 were both stellar! Really enjoying this season - not missing Brody at all

Episode 9 AMAZING!! Best episode of TV of any show for a long time. How they have turned round this show after a poor S3 deserves a lot of credit. Now the family boring nonsense is out of the window it's more like 24 in its heyday but less ridiculous and more realistic. Tremendous

I'm only at UK pace so just caught episode 7. We laughed a lot at
although we probably shouldn't laugh at her latest meltdown.

It's getting better as it goes on though.
