Having now watched all three episodes, must say I’m really liking this. As someone who has read and watched most versions of Treasure Island including, in my opinion, the dire version starring Eddie Izzard. This seems to be a credible attempt at explaining the back story of Long John Silver.

It's ok, so far a little interesting, Love the titles and it does seem to be shaping up to be a Pirate version of BSG, once they hit the water I'm betting good money they're not going back to land for a long long time, that's why we're spending a lot of time on land right now

Well episode 4 was back to form I felt. Interesting bit about preparing the ship for the voyage.

Got to say I love the Titles, this and Game of Thrones are the only shows where don't fast forward the Titles.

I'm enjoying it so far, I'm a bit biased as I love pirate stuff every since I watched captain blood and The Black Pirate when I was kid.

I think it could be better but I think it will improve if its given a bit of time and hopefully gets renewed.

Starz already ordered a second season before this one started to air.

Ah, not just me then. I know it's probably all cgi, but deep down I wish that model actually existed in such detail.

True Blood is the only title sequence I watch in full thanks to the brilliant song.

Yeah thats another good one. I also used to like the 6 feet under title's as I liked the song as well.
We could start a new topic of favorite titles haha

Black Sails - Pirates!!

Now that was what I expect from a gritty Pirate show. Much improved this week! More like this please.

I really enjoyed the first episode. Lots of sex and bad language - hoping for a little more violence going forward. Interesting enough stuff to fill the Spartacus / Game of Thrones gap.

Very good finale to an interesting, surprising slow-burner of a series. It definitely didn't play out like I expected (Spartacus rip-off) with a lot less violence, action & sex but replaced with a multitude of intriguing plot-lines & character development.

More please!

Good finale. Definitely left wanting more. Gotta love Flint's face in that final scene.

Although...

Indeed - he was my most favourite character

At least we know Billy is still out there somewhere.

That MOW attack was brutal. Despite it being unlikely that a ship could operate both sides of cannon at the same time (from what I've read in other places) it shows just how deadly they can be.
