In BB he wasn't the Cartel's friend was he? I can't massively remember, but I doubt he'd be doing so much work for Jesse and Walter if he was. So I guess we need to backtrack somehow to be the Saul from the show.

Really cannot wait until the final season whenever that is, no idea if CV19 is putting stop to productions and so forth.

When Saul is kidnapped by Walt and Jesse he mistakenly thinks they are cartel members, speaking Spanish and asking them if they are working with someone named Lalo. Saul then quickly blames Nacho, calling him by his real name, Ignacio, for whatever he thinks the cartel is angry with him.

Does anyone know the earliest we can watch the next episode? I’m on a night shift until 8am!

The last episode was great. Can't wait for the final season now although I imagine we will have a bit of a wait.

I agree ! I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. A bit slow at the beginning but the tension was just right. It certainly picked up the pace towards the end. I didn’t predict the ending either. I’m really looking forward to the last season. We might just have to rewatch all 5 seasons whilst we’re waiting!

Does he actually specify "I have exactly two ex-wives"? I remember he refers to his second ex-wife, but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't a third one too.

The big problem with the idea that Kim is around during Breaking Bad and just isn't seen is that when Saul flees, he does so alone.

I think the final Season is due to air next August - it is longer than normal, but its going to be a long wait.

Unfortunately it's likely to be the end of 2022 at the moment I would think, given all the delays due to covid. My son is a cameraman in the film industry and the production he's working on is currently trying to work out a way of working once filming can start again, but with social distancing in place, If you think about it, the complexities are going to make it almost impossible.

Just caught up with this and really enjoyed it. Certainly there are episodes easily as good as any in BB, but overall I still don't think it's *quite* as good due to the slower pace and fewer action scenes. I do feel gripped by BCS but BB was *exhilarating*. Plus of course we know for sure that certain characters have to survive. (I do wonder about continuity - Mike in particular is looking old now). BB 10/10, BCS 9/10.

The depth of understanding and empathy we have towards the characters is superb, the dialogue is gripping, and I think I'm in love with Kim.

5 Burning Questions About the ‘Better Call Saul’ Season 5 Finale — Answered
Rolling Stone interview with co-creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan.

Quote:
the season premiere concluded with Kim swearing she would never scam her own client — followed immediately by her doing exactly that, albeit with a pure-hearted motive. “As we approached the last half of this season,” Gould says, “it started feeling like maybe Kim Wexler breaks bad?”

‘We have a new member of the Salamanca family, charming and playful.’ We found Tony Dalton who’s got movie-star charisma, and he’s athletic, and he’s charming, and he plays every layer to every scene.”

The co-creators famously don’t plan very far ahead with their storytelling. “We see about three inches down the road at any particular moment”. When they open a season with Gene from Cinnabon, they joke that figuring out what happens next is something someone else will have to deal with the following year.

Thanks for that article, it's very interesting. It's hard to guess when it might get made due to the situation in the US. I hope it doesn't get canned before season 6, which is always a possibility if money gets tight.
