I'm wondering if there might be some acknowledgement at the next apple conference and they might give everyone an extra month free.......

Not so sure they should. A flawed three months, but three months free is better than everyone else other than google music.

I've not tried it yet, but I'm surprised that they've not got it right yet. Beats was very good, but it sounds like they've just rebranded that and tried to tack it onto the side of match and it's not quite worked. Yet. I'm sure they'll get it right in time, even if they lose customers. A lot of people will still stick with it out of Apple loyalty/convenience.

Apart from the iOS app being a bit **** at times and forgetting i've already signed up to the service, i've never listened to so many new artists and different styles of music (outside of my usual tastes) in all my life. I'm mainly discovering these through the Beats 1 shows and the playlists, so I'll keep on with it after the free trial ends.

That's the great thing about these streaming services. Take the time to like and dislike stuff and it should give you lots of new stuff. Had you tried Spotify or any others before this?

I think this might be where Apple will get so many more people using streaming services, whether they stay with Apple music or try others.

No, I was a latecomer to Spotify and didn't really "get it" for some reason... I'm just not sure why I didn't try lots of new music with it, I ended up listening to the same old stuff and maybe just enjoying the availability of things I already owned, so not having to sync devices to get my music.

A quick question for current Spotify users. Can you thumbs down as well as thumbs up tracks? It's been a while since I last used it but thinking about giving it another go now the Sonos integration is better.

No sign of Apple Music for Sonos or Android.....

Thanks

I just logged into my old Deezer account and they offered me 3 months premium for 99p. That'll do for me now Apple Music is expiring.

Any idea how that will work? How you link other google play accounts to it? Be a pain if you have to do the parent/child thing you have to with apple.

Hopefully puts more pressure on Spotify to offer better multi user price options with Apple offering he same.

I forgot to cancel Apple Music. Turned off sub now. In fact I forgot I had it. In fact, I found it rubbish. Had they got Sonos on board by now, or an Android app, they'd see a very large uptake IMO

Yep, they've screwed up badly - if I can't use it with my Sonos before it expires, I won't be continuing and once the inertia is gone I probably won't be arsed to sign up later.

Create playlists featuring acts such as NWA, The Macc Lads, Selfish **** and The Chuckle Brothers?

I'm at my PC now. Mac, decent speakers. No Apple architecture in the house anymore apart from that.

Deezer sub runs out at Xmas. Google play in January (both are free). I'd happily have gone for Apple instead had they got their arse in gear. Too late now. I think I will probably go for Google play.

I think they said native Sonos support was going to be towards the end of this year although you can just airplay it I think.

I don't think you can natively airplay to Sonos.

Cloud music discussion: Spotify/Rdio/Deezer/Napster/Google/Beats, etc - free ...

Does anyone else constantly 'lose' tracks previously downloaded to listen to offline? By lose I mean they turn grey so they can't be played

I'm getting fed up with it and am going to cancel it (unless it's user error somehow)

Edit: sorry, in Apple Music
