Oh dear another terrible Carr sketch. Going to watch my pre-recorded Masterchef!

Shame as I enjoyed Charlton's rap

David Mitchell has got engaged to Victoria Coren, lucky bugger! He's topped CB in my book with her.

You've missed it now but CB's Radio 4 panel show "So wrong it's right" is back for series 3, catch up on iPlayer.

Susan Calman's cat insanity on that show was hilarious, she's rapidly becoming my 2nd favourite, short, lesbian, comedian.

I kinda wish there was a thread for radio comedy (not sure where it would go?!).

Things like So Wrong It's Right, The Unbelievable Truth, The Now Show, etc... a couple of these types of shows I only chance upon, but then become a must-listen.

Not keen on the Now Show, but The Unbelievable Truth, Chain Reaction, The Inifinite Monkey Cage, The News Quiz, Just a Minute, Ingenious (is this still going?) are all great, and Im sorry I havent got a clue is also still going.

The podcast radio comedy of the week though is usually crap, why is this? Is it designed just to highlight new things? Its a shame out all of those just listed its only The Infinite Monkey Cage that has a podcast. Oh perhaps I should include Mark Kermode here as well (the Charlie Brooker one is a given).

Can I recommend this app, it allows you to set and forget programmes on all BBC Radio channels, even if they aren't on air at that point and then it decodes them so you can transfer them to your iPod. Its a bit like Sky+ for your radio

Yep, I also use that - great program. I have it running on a server, checked it after the mention of the new series of So Wrong It's Right, had already downloaded it

I then have an application to automatically transfer/update the podcast folder to my phone (trying Cheetah Sync for Android at the moment, but I'm sure there's plenty of good apps).

To cliff_homewood - by Ingenious, do you mean Genius? (Dave Gorman). I miss that, it made the jump to TV but wasn't nearly as good in that format IMHO. Thanks for those recommendations, will try to get hold of the ones I haven't heard yet...

If you like the News Quiz, then don't forget the News Quiz Extra on Radio 4 Extra on Monday nights.

I find the News Quiz a bit smug but enjoy The Now Show and Infinite Monkey Cage.

Not comedy related, but More Or Less is a great listen too.

Yeah I meant Genius, I enjoyed the telly version, but it never seemed to come back after that, but thne I thought Chain Reaction had died but then another series came back last year. Thanks for the radio app will try that, at the mo just listening to 12.30 Radio 4 on a sunday as it always carries a decent enough listen; and I can enjoy it in the bath.

More CB audio goodness:

I've not heard it yet but the new Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast (RHLSTP) has more than a hour and a half of CB uncut and going by the previous RHLSTP's it'll be rude and crude but funny.

really? I trialled his daily blog on Kindle for a couple of weeks recently, and he pretty much mentioned these Leicester Square gigs every day (plus what's like to live in Harpenden)

He's pretty funny

yes, but i don't visit often and if you go to his website now, it's not top of what he's promoting and he's actually doing it now.

Seems he's been busy:

Charlie Brooker ‏@charltonbrooker
Thanks to anyone who's wondered whether I'm dead. I'm not dead. Been taking a Guardian / Twitter break while I finish Black Mirror S2.

Charlie Brooker ‏@charltonbrooker
Also 2012 Wipe imminent, and a whole new hybrid 'Wipe' series on the way. Plus 2 more Touch of Cloths. So there's tons of **** en route.
