Thought it was rubbish, a camp Hitler that just did not work as it didn't feel like hitler but a youngster in fancy dress, a bad guy twist which was obvious from the beginning and wasn't that funny. Liked the psychopath bit though

Erm, wasn't that the point given the later reveal?

I didn't mind the first one, but struggled with ep2 beyond the amusing first few minutes.

I think I just want more low-key stuff of them dicking around on the ship.

I say it every year but I give Red Dwarf a wide tolerance, I just loved the show back in the day, still love it. It's not as good, but it's nice that they all still want to do it and want to try hard. Nowhere near up to early seasons, but it passes 30 minutes

I assume we all do. If this were a new show, it'd be bloody awful.

I'd have lasted five minutes into Back to Earth if it was a new show, I think the BBC did another space sitcom ages ago, I lasted about as long

Was that the thing with Nick Frost? I remember not hating that.

I enjoyed episode 2 but I agree with Dno it'd be great to have some episodes where they're just alone on ship and get themselves into situations - or at least whereever they go it not always involving meeting the "monster of the week." But still I'm glad it's around after all this time. I'd written it off after Back to Earth.

It's main issue is that it's just looking for a funny premise, with little thought to early series. It sort of became monster of the week after a while, now it seems to be "massive space installation" of the week.

It's definitely forgotten trying to get back to earth, clearly he isn't the last human, and they don't even seem to hate each other any more.

A young man space bum, is now (at best) a middle aged man, still floating through a boring universe, maybe explore that a little, but I guess it's a little late.

Really enjoyed the second episode, didn't check a cast list, but were some of the other characters famous? I seem to recognise the voices.

Jay from the Inbetweeners was the older model with the eye protectors on his head.

Ep3 suffered from the same issues again for me..

I liked the initial banter when it was just the four of them, but it quickly descended into a mixed bag once they left the ship.

I agree, and I think Episode 3 was the worst for me since the final episode of XI.

I think it misses having a computer even more stupid than them to interact with.
