[multi] harry potter & deathly hallows part 1 & Part 2

out next friday and as usual, not heard much about the game at all.

assuming its the same vein as harry 5 & 6 which i loved (5 more than 6 as more to do), then its a definate purchase for me. Only harry 4 have i not got on with or completed with its 3 player mostly fighting style.

cheapest places are selling for around £38 online, i'll see if this lends itself to a rental from blockbusters.

Its a third person wand wielding magic cover shooter in the vein of Gears of War. No joke.

In Deathly Hallows? If you're read the books, you will know that's a bit... unlikely.

yep, i know

but you can still have fighting sections and then "wander around the forest collecting some random thing" - ie non stressful sections of the game where you won't be attacked.

stealth is not my forte

This game would have been perfect for the Move I reckon.

Hoping it has wand-saw bayonet feature

it has Kinect support, so it should have Move support. Also you need the add ons to get certain achievements/trophy

It seems to be Kinect support only. It's madness that you have a game where you hold a wand but choose not to support a technology that uses a wand shaped controller.

You can't play the main game with Kinect apparently, its only 'challenge' type bonus missions where it works

This new trailer gives the space to the non fighting parts: http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/harr...railer?size=hd

Oh, and this bit is on the sneaking challenges leaves me a bit unconvinced I will enjoy them:

IGN's review make it sound pretty rubbish. I lost interest at the word "stealth". 2.5/10. I think I'll give it a miss.

I was just about to pre-order at Argos using the £10 off voucher and checked metacritic. 37% score. 2 30 scores

so may rent it down the line but not going to bother now. the others were nice and charming mini games and puzzles. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

With broken cover mechanics, boring shoot-out sequences and uninspired stealth missions, the game gets worse and worse as you play

Another ******-poor movie tie in. Who'd a thought?

Lego Harry Potter was superb and the last two film tie-ins games were above average and kept the wife occupied for hours.
