85mb and 200 mb homeplugs/powerline adapters

Hi,

Can one use a combination of 85mb and 200 mb homeplugs together or will I have problems doing this?

Whats is the difference between Powerline adapters & homeplugs

Can one use a pair of homeplugs, one connected to router and one connected to remote computer 1 and a pair of powerline adapters one connected to router and one connected to remote computer 2 or would this create problems.

Thanks

you can use pairs of 85 & pairs of 200 on the same wiring but they wont talk to each other. as far as I know, Homeplug is a generic term like hoover, powerline is a make.

Lots of homeplug threads http://thedvdforums.com/forums/searc...archid=3973037

I did exactly that. The 200s to connect the media centre pc to the network, and the 85s to connect a pc that was only used for surfing. Worked fine (you need two of each, with an 85 and a 200 plugged into the router).
